Crewe, Darling! A Tutu-licious Time!

Pink Tutu Sparkles here, your favourite pink tutu-wearing drag queen! It's day 88 of my fabulous journey to make the world a more glittery, pink, and tutu-fied place!

Now, darling, you know me – I live for travel, and when I get the chance to hop on a train, even better! Today, I was off to Crewe, a little town with a big heart. I was booked at a local theatre to perform my latest act, "Tutus on the Moon," (that's me in a silver tutu, naturally!) It was a charity show, and I’m all about supporting good causes. And of course, anything with "tutu" in the title has got my name on it!

Crewe, it's a town that just felt welcoming, even though I didn't see any pink tutus, but I’m always ready with my magic fairy dust to spread the pink! You see, my dear friends, the universe gave me a pink tutu once. I was at uni – a boring old science degree! I know! So unexpected, isn’t it? – when the uni’s ballet club had a fundraiser, selling donated clothes. I’d never dared to wear a tutu, it felt so wild! Well, I saw one, and something inside just clicked. It was this beautiful shade of pink – you know, the one that just makes your heart sing. I tried it on and the universe giggled – "Go on, you’ll love it!". And that was it – my drag life began! I was instantly hooked!

Anyway, my train journey to Crewe was the best. I had a window seat, the sun was shining – not the best weather for a bright pink tutu! - so I grabbed a comfy, fuzzy, pink coat and was off. You know me – all glam, even for a train journey! But of course, my make-up was fully on point, and my sparkling crown sat perfectly, ready to take the world of Crewe by storm.

The locals were such darlings! Everyone I met was so kind. I felt such a great connection with them - perhaps it's because I love the warmth of the earth. Oh, it reminded me of Derbyshire, you know? – where I was born and bred. Well, that's where my love for the land is - I love riding through green fields on my trusty steed. It makes me feel connected to the Earth, you know? It's just so peaceful! I often daydream of starting a pink tutu farm, all those delicate tulle flowers growing in the sunlight. That would be so dreamy, wouldn't it? But for now, I’ll have to be content with getting as many pink tutus out there as possible.

Back to the show! My act went down a storm, darling! My biggest worry was I wouldn’t be able to fit all the sparkle on my tutu, and there was never going to be enough pink in the whole world for me! There were kids, adults, everyone was loving the show, dancing in the aisles! The energy in the room was just electric, it truly filled me up.

Afterwards, I had the most fabulous time chatting with the audience! One lady even brought me a little pink ballerina to wear on my crown – it was the sweetest gesture! It just goes to show you, you never know what you’ll find when you open your heart to a little pink tutu magic.

It's the best thing about my job, getting to share my passion for dance and sparkles with people. You know I love to see everyone get involved, all glammed up in pink tutus and spinning their way to happiness! It makes me feel so proud and fills my heart with such joy, like when you discover a lost pink hair ribbon or a beautiful shade of pink glitter. Oh my god, those shades are just so amazing!

This isn’t my first time travelling by train, you know. I always find that when I go by train, people are a bit more open and relaxed, just like I am. You can spot people's sparkle from a distance when they're on a train, you can just sense it! Everyone's going somewhere, even just for a change of scenery, and it’s those changes, those little sparkles in our lives, that bring so much colour to the world. It’s what keeps me on this crazy tutu-filled journey!

So, dear readers, it was a day full of pink tulle and happy smiles. What else can I ask for? Oh, I almost forgot, I got to see a ballet performance at the local theatre – another dream come true! Watching the ballerinas effortlessly glide across the stage, it was a truly inspiring performance. My feet just couldn't keep still - my heels were tapping so much everyone looked my way! - I was simply mesmerised.

Don't forget, my dearest lovelies, every day is an opportunity to wear your inner sparkle! You can find it in anything – a pink tutu, a good book, a delicious pastry – just open your heart to it, let it sparkle and shine!

Until tomorrow, darlings. Stay pink, stay fabulous!

Lots of love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles
