Acton Calling: Pink Tutu Sparkles Takes On London! (Post #109)

Hello darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to whisk you away on another glamorous adventure! This week I'm ditching the dusty Derbyshire countryside for the bright lights of London! Who could resist the call of the capital when it means hitting the stage for a weekend full of sequins and sparkle?

You know how I love a good train journey. A chance to settle into my first-class carriage, admire the passing scenery, and pour over my itinerary for the weekend! It’s the perfect time to gather my thoughts, catch up on my latest celebrity gossip (looking at you, the Sussexes, you little rascals!) and make sure every single pink tutu, feather boa, and glitter bomb is in place.

And let's face it, every performance deserves a perfect pre-show outfit! This time, I opted for a pastel pink, feather-trimmed tutu, teamed with a sparkly lavender bustier and my trusty pink cowboy boots – after all, there's something truly magical about feeling the rhythm of the city as you sashay through it!

The stage awaited at the legendary Acton Town Hall. Now, I’ve heard of some glitzy town halls, but this place was something else! Honestly, the floral arrangements were better than the bouquets I saw at Buckingham Palace during the Queen's Jubilee! They weren't just pink, darlings, they were a rainbow explosion of magenta, hot pink, shocking pink, every pink you could dream of.

With my hair expertly styled, my face flawlessly made-up, and a full battery in my trusty glitter cannon (don’t ask, it’s a secret weapon!), I was ready to perform. It was a roaring crowd of enthusiastic Londoners ready for some sparkle and some pink-tutu-powered entertainment! I let my moves speak for themselves, twirling, pirouetting, strutting, and sprinkling glitter with wild abandon! And when my signature "Pink Tutu Tango" started, the crowd went wild! Let’s just say my signature move, the 'Pink Tutu Plunge', sent shivers down the spines of even the most stoic patrons.

Of course, no London trip would be complete without a little culture. The day after the show, I had to see "Giselle" at the Royal Opera House. Now, that’s a ballet I’ve seen a dozen times, but it never gets old, does it? Watching those elegant ballerinas flitting around in their exquisite tutus truly puts me in the mood for dancing! And who knows? Maybe the next time I'm in town I’ll be taking lessons at The Royal Ballet School.

Now, if there’s anything London does better than ballet, it’s shopping! So, of course, I took advantage of the fact that the London streets were paved in rainbows (or maybe that was just the glitter I left behind!). A new collection of pink sequined t-shirts arrived at the shop I was obsessed with: Glimmer and Sparkle. I had to have every colour of every item, let's face it - Glimmer and Sparkle never lets me down! Then it was off to Liberty for a new tutu (always gotta keep expanding that wardrobe!).

London, you truly know how to spoil a drag queen! My days have been a whirlwind of glittery performances, balletic grace, and enough shopping to make a queen’s head spin! But what I love the most is the way everyone joins in my love of tutus! Even the cab drivers seemed to understand my desire for all things pink, making it a truly memorable trip.

Now, before you go, tell me – what's your dream pink tutu outfit? And where's the first place you’d want to wear it? Leave a comment on www.pink-tutu.com and let me know your thoughts!

And remember, darlings: keep it pink, keep it sparkly, and most importantly, keep spreading the tutu love!
