Hello darlings! It's your favourite Pink Tutu Sparkles, ready to sprinkle some glitter on your day!
Well, darling, I just HAD to get this blog post out to you as soon as I could. You see, I've just spent a fabulous weekend in the delightful Folkestone! Oh, it's truly a gem of a place! I know some of you may be thinking, "Folkestone? Why would Pink Tutu Sparkles be gallivanting off to Folkestone? " But I can tell you, dearies, it was an absolute triumph. A magnificent performance, gorgeous weather, a seaside breeze blowing my pink tulle skirt ever so gracefully! Just a perfect, utterly tutu-tastic time!
Before we get to the fab fabulousness that was my Folkestone trip, I simply MUST tell you about my journey there. I decided to leave the trusty pink Vespa at home this time, and, oh my dearies, let me tell you, I opted for a journey on the train! I do adore a good train journey. There's something so delightful about watching the world go by, all snuggled up in my pink tulle skirt with a cuppa in my hand, and a good, juicy novel to escape into. Now, I know what you're thinking. Train journeys aren't the most glamourous way to get about, and let's be honest, some train journeys are far from comfortable. But honestly, there's something romantic and adventurous about them that calls to this little Pink Tutu.
Imagine this, darlings - the clattering rhythm of the tracks, the views rushing past my window - some charming little English villages with cottages nestled under ivy and cobbled streets, the wind whipping at my hair, and, of course, me in my glorious, ever so flamboyant, pink tulle! (and not to mention, a generous dash of Pink Tutu Sparkles' signature glamour!). It was absolutely dreamy.
Now, to Folkestone itself! You see, dearies, this particular tutu trip came about because of an exciting opportunity to perform at a fab fair right on the seaside! Imagine, dearies! A beautiful, historic town with charming narrow cobblestone streets, all overlooking a stunning seaside! This fair was just a delight - so many charming, quirky stalls with all sorts of fascinating things! There were yummy cakes, handmade crafts, vintage trinkets, you name it, they had it! Of course, I had to have a go on one of those adorable, vintage fairground rides - and yes, dearies, I was spinning around in my tutu! (and let me tell you, that ride had my pink tulle skirt swirling like a joyful ballet!) Then, to add to the spectacle, you guessed it! Pink Tutu Sparkles performed a glorious drag show right there on the pier! Just imagine, a breathtaking vista of the coastline, a fabulous crowd of fabulous faces and... me! In my majestic pink tutu, absolutely radiating joyful glitter! The people, dearies, absolutely loved it! And the roar of their applause! Well, let's just say, they all just adored my Pink Tutu Sparkles show!
Of course, as Pink Tutu Sparkles, I can't let a trip to the seaside go by without a touch of nautical charm, now, can I? I do just adore a spot of seaside chic! I decided on a whimsical afternoon boat trip along the coast, with, of course, the ever-reliable, ever-glamorous Pink Tutu Sparkles leading the way! Oh my, it was breathtaking. You have to admit, dearies, nothing can compare to that majestic vista of the coast while being surrounded by nothing but the sound of seagulls squawking in the wind! It truly was magical.
Before you ask, yes dearies, I got plenty of pink tulle shots to document this beautiful day. My fabulous photography skills really did capture all the joyous pink tutu glamour and nautical fun of this unforgettable Folkestone weekend.
As I left Folkestone to catch my train back to Derbyshire ( I had to get back to my lab, those science projects don't wait for anyone!), I did so with a big pink tutu-tastic smile on my face! Folkestone will definitely remain a special place for Pink Tutu Sparkles for many years to come, as it reminded me, as it does so often, that life is about spreading sparkle and pink tutu joy everywhere you go.
