Hello, hello, my gorgeous girlies and gentlemen! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad, sparkly goddess, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with a brand-new post! Today, I'm sharing all the enchanting details from my delightful trip to Deal, a little coastal gem nestled in Kent.
As you know, my dearest darlings, travel is in my veins, and this trip was no exception. Now, I love travelling by train - there's something so glamorous about settling into a carriage, watching the scenery whizz past, and sipping on a hot cuppa. This journey was no different, although, truth be told, I was a little peckish. I decided to go for a quick walk on the platform and was immediately swept up in the energy of the crowd! A bustling mix of holidaymakers, locals, and fellow theatre-goers – the atmosphere was simply divine! I was surrounded by so many colours and styles – perfect inspiration for my next look.
But oh, my darlings, it wasn't just the train that was making this journey so fabulously pink! I decided to wear my favourite fluffy pink tutu – I just had to, especially after seeing all those fantastic hues at the station. The tulle was billowing in the summer breeze, and I was absolutely dripping in pink shimmer, catching everyone's attention like a delicate sugar-plum ballet! Honestly, it felt like everyone around me was ready to join the pink tutu party! I’m almost positive there was some subtle “Ooohs” and “Aahhs” as I strolled down the platform.
Reaching Deal was like stepping into a Victorian postcard! Such charming architecture and quaint streets filled with hidden treasures! My inner theatre-geek was squealing with excitement because just walking along the waterfront, I could already picture myself performing in front of that breathtaking coastline. Oh, and the smells! Salt air, freshly baked pastries, and just a whiff of the sea – divine!
Speaking of divine, my darlings, let’s talk food! I mean, what’s a trip to the seaside without a bit of indulgence? I opted for a delicious lunch at a sweet little cafe called "The Pink Spoon" - the irony! You just couldn't make this stuff up, honestly! Of course, I couldn't resist a slice of their famous pink iced cupcake - pure sugar-plum perfection! But don't worry, my darling, I know you’re probably thinking, “Oh Pink Tutu Sparkles, you always go for the sweet stuff,” so I washed it down with a glass of their delicious green smoothie – keeping those nutrients balanced, you know?
Oh! My Ballet Adventures!
You know me, darlings! Any time I'm by the seaside, a trip to the theatre is an absolute must! The moment I saw the poster for "Giselle" at the Deal Rep theatre, my heart did a pirouette! And oh, how divine! A classic ballet, filled with drama, passion, and, of course, those beautiful costumes. Talk about inspirational! This was a total “Pink Tutu Sparkles” moment – all the glitter, tulle, and dramatic performances, everything that makes a true queen tick! Even better, there was a ballet class going on during the day at a local studio, so I got my tutu-wearing self in gear for a fabulously flamboyant session. And let me tell you, darlings, there is nothing like taking class to boost your self-confidence! My steps felt as elegant as ever, even if I might have bumped into a few other ballerinas with a bit more...shall we say “expertise” than myself. 😉 But my, did they all adore my bright pink tutu! There were envious whispers throughout the whole session!
The rest of the evening was just magical! I went for a romantic walk along the beach, enjoying the gentle breeze and the stunning sunset. It was such a beautiful moment – feeling completely carefree, content, and surrounded by beauty. It was a beautiful evening, with all that golden sand and a gorgeous pink sky reflecting on the waves.
