I've just arrived in Edmonton, a city known for its captivating prairie landscapes, vibrant arts scene...and guess what? They even have a ballet company! Now, before I spill the tea on Edmonton's sparkling treasures, let's rewind a bit. Remember my last blog post about that fabulous train journey across the US? Well, that trip was merely a prologue to my Canadian escapade! You see, darling, my journey always unfolds like a delicate dance, taking me wherever the pink tutu wind blows. And this time, it blew me all the way up north!

But there I was, adding another six pink tutus to my ever-growing collection! I just can't help myself. A girl has to have options!
And talking of options, the fabulous Edmonton arts scene was absolutely overflowing with them! From ballet to theatre to street performances, Edmonton was bursting with talent, and I was just a tiny pink spark amidst it all. On my first night, I stumbled upon the Edmonton Ballet Company performing "Swan Lake." It was nothing short of breathtaking! The delicate choreography, the dancers gliding across the stage with such elegance – I was entranced! Now, if you'll indulge me for a moment, I have to show off a picture I snapped of me and the lead ballerina backstage after the performance. Her costume was so elegant and flowing, and she was the epitome of grace. We're practically twinning in pink tutus! We chatted about all things ballet and, you guessed it, tutus!
You see, my dear readers, this is the joy of travelling: connecting with fellow performers, sharing a passion, and celebrating the magic of the arts! And it wasn't just the ballet that impressed me. On a charmingly rainy afternoon, I stumbled upon a charming street market. Now, any market featuring hand-knitted alpaca sweaters with rainbow sequins immediately wins me over! But what stole my heart was this delightful little shop overflowing with pink accessories! Can you imagine? Pink feather boas, pink sequined purses, pink bow ties, and – get this – even pink cat collars! This, my dears, was a pink lover's paradise! It's truly a blessing to find kindred spirits in the most unexpected places!
Of course, what would a Pink Tutu Sparkles journey be without a splash of whimsical indulgence? Now, I can't reveal too many details, because you wouldn't believe it if I told you. But let's just say I stumbled upon a secret horse-drawn carriage tour through a park that is absolutely brimming with whimsical beauty. And imagine my delight – they offered pink feather boas as part of the experience! Talk about a pink-tastic adventure!
Speaking of whimsy, remember the Alberta Ballet? I was delighted to hear they host workshops on ballet. Imagine a ballet class... in a tutu. In the Pink Tutu. I almost couldn't handle the sheer pinkness of it all, but it was glorious! The instructors were delightful, and even though my leaps might not have been quite as graceful as the professional dancers (they were more "prance" than "leap"), the joy on everyone's faces was contagious!
But hold on, there's more! You can't visit a place known for its prairies without embracing the vastness, don't you think? So, I hopped on a horseback ride (because when in Alberta, right?!).
