Pink Tutu Sparkles: A Starry Night in Crewe (Blog Post #346)

Oh my darlings, it's Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and what a weekend it has been!

I know I always say this, but seriously, you guys have no idea how much I love traveling, and I truly believe this journey of ours – a sparkly pink one, I might add – has just started to blossom like a glorious pink peony in springtime!

This week, the Pink Tutu Express rolled into the fabulous, industrial, and slightly surprising town of Crewe. You know I love to explore and find hidden gems, and trust me, Crewe has plenty! And speaking of gems, this pink tutu was twinkling! I’d actually been asked to appear at the town’s very own, annual Christmas market and oh my stars, it was delightful!

But before we get into the details of my performance, let’s just dive straight into this fabulous journey and what better way than a proper dose of "Pink Tutu's travel diary!"

A Day in Pink: To Crewe By Train

It's been a little while since I've travelled by train, so I was so thrilled to take a trip on the historic 'Caledonian Sleeper’ and settle in for a night of peaceful, pink dreams. Oh the glam! A private room for just me and my sparkles with plush velvet seats, luxurious bedding, and even a hot shower in the morning. Talk about luxurious travel. Seriously, if you've never had the chance, do yourself a favour and indulge in the magic of a 'Caledonian Sleeper.' It’s the perfect excuse to wear a ridiculously fabulous pink, fluffy dressing gown, complete with matching slippers, as you drift off to sleep.

You'll have to trust me on this one, because there was a very important reason why I felt that was the right look. You see, the reason I was traveling to Crewe? I had a chance encounter, at a fairground, with an extraordinary being: a miniature horse! This gorgeous little creature is called "Starlight," and he is part of a traveling troupe, performing in fairs all across Britain. And it was Starlight that I would be spending the following afternoon with.

Why am I obsessed with miniature horses? I think it’s the fact that they’re just like us! Tiny but mighty. They pack a big personality in a small package! This one even seemed to appreciate pink.

As soon as I arrived in Crewe, it was time for breakfast, and Crewe certainly didn't disappoint! Let’s just say the cakes were so magnificent, I nearly bought every single one of them and called it a day, right there at the train station. I would describe them as fluffy and sweet but in a sophisticated way, unlike the sugary concoctions you see on display in some cafes. The perfect start to a perfect day!

Pink Dreams and Fairytale Fun!

Next up, I had a quick change, (the dressing gown and slippers just wouldn’t do!) into my most adorable pink outfit with my tutu, of course. This was a delicate, fluffy affair that matched the softness of my beloved miniature horse! Oh, the glam was out of this world!

When Starlight saw me in my pink get-up, his eyes literally sparkled! And we just connected instantly. This tiny wonder is trained for performance, you know, so it was pure joy and excitement to be with him! He had all the personality and grace of a horse double his size. You wouldn’t believe how high he can jump!

From Horse Power to The Big Pink Stage

Now, from the stables, to the Christmas market! I'd always dreamed of having my own market stall but being a guest here was definitely the way to go! Think warm roasted chestnuts, handmade trinkets, festive carols, and tons of Christmas cheer. You could feel the holiday magic in the air.

Oh! And let’s not forget the glistening pink trees! A truly wonderful sight to behold. I think they really are the best color, so pretty.

And this is where I found my voice! You know I have a huge love of ballets and performing, so being a guest at Crewe’s Christmas market was just the perfect opportunity to spread some extra sparkles.

This stage wasn’t your average stage! Oh no, this was a very unique stage and it was certainly memorable! I performed in the center of a massive, glittering tree! The sparkles off my pink tutu just merged perfectly with the tree’s shimmering lights, like two best friends, you know. I felt like a ballerina in a magical winter forest, surrounded by hundreds of festive, twinkling stars, but it wasn’t a dream. It was absolutely real!

It wasn't the typical venue for Pink Tutu Sparkles, and that's just what I love. The unique spaces, the diverse audiences – that’s where the true joy is for me. This night was all about pink, twinkles, and the incredible spirit of Christmas!

Pink Dreams for Tomorrow

I had such a fabulous time! You all know that Pink Tutu Sparkles is obsessed with traveling and spreading the message of ‘Pink!’. But for me, this weekend in Crewe felt a little bit different! It felt a little bit like the beginning of something new and oh-so-very-pink.

The next stop on my Pink Tutu journey will be another adventure. Stay tuned, you beautiful sparkles.

And in the meantime, please do let me know your pink thoughts and dreams below, in the comments.

Until the next adventure,

Lots of love, Pink Tutu Sparkles xoxo

Pink Tutu’s Fashion Finds: A Crewe Affair

This was my "Tutu in a Twirl" style, perfect for the holidays:

Look One: A classic tulle tutu with my favourite hot pink satin belt. This tutu was slightly longer and had extra ruffles for that full, princess vibe.

Look Two: My signature sparkling body suit in a warm blush pink that caught the light of the stage. This body suit is a must-have, so comfortable and so fabulous. It has glitter, so it's just the perfect combo.

Look Three: My fluffy pink cape. Yes! That's right. You all know Pink Tutu loves a good cape! Think warm cozy winter wear for fairies. This one had feather trim that shimmered with each movement. I paired it with my sparkle studded heels. You see, a sprinkle of sparkle makes everything look even better.

You can always get my latest fashion finds on www.pink-tutu.com or follow me on the Pink Tutu blog every day for more inspiration.

Did you know...? I love to dance ballet, so if you’ve ever spotted me in my tutu, I’ll always try to incorporate my ballet steps into the show, for a bit of extra glam!

*Remember! * My favorite part of my job? Spreading the word and joy of pink tutus and showing people that life is too short to not dress with some glitter.
