Hello darlings, and welcome to Pink Tutu Sparkles, your daily dose of pink-tastic fun! Today, we're off on an adventure – I’m trading in the lab coat for my trusty pink tutu, as I journey up north, straight into the heart of Scotland!
Wishaw, here I come!
This charming town, nestled amongst the rolling hills of North Lanarkshire, is calling my name! And it’s not just because the name sounds like "Whishaw," a word that just rolls off the tongue with the softest, most delightful of sounds. It’s calling because my gorgeous girlies, the fabulous Wishaw Panto Players, are hosting me for their spectacular "Aladdin" panto production!
You see, darlings, a Tutu Queen has gotta do what a Tutu Queen’s gotta do – when you’ve got a passion for pink and a heart for theatre, you gotta bring the sparkle!
Now, I know what you’re thinking… a scientist? A drag queen? Who does all this? Well, that's me, darlings! Alex by day, Pink Tutu Sparkles by night. By day, I'm a lab scientist, whizzing up fabric solutions that could revolutionise the fashion industry… But at night, I take centre stage!
My journey into the world of drag began with a pink tutu. Let’s just say that when a certain Derbyshire lass is thrown headfirst into the University ballet club’s tutu try-on fundraiser, she knew she’d found her destiny.
And now, I get to make a living spreading glitter and joy across the country, travelling to every charming town, quaint village, and dazzling city. I perform wherever a stage is willing to have a little pink magic – from festivals and fairs to clubs and theatres.
And oh, darling, the journey is half the fun! I just love that railway line, scampering across the countryside. The wind whips past your face, your heart feels light, and the world is your stage!
Wishaw Panto – Prepare to be Wowed
So, my dear loves, get ready! My glittery, pink-tastic tutu-clad self will be gracing the stage at Wishaw Panto’s "Aladdin." We're gonna have an absolute blast.
Panto is like a giant, giggly hug for your soul, filled with silliness, sparkle, and singalongs – the perfect concoction for a fabulously entertaining night out.
Think of it, darlings: The villain, oh so bad! The hero, brave and dashing! And the dame, oh, she'll be bringing the laughs and the sparkle! That's right! Your dear Pink Tutu Sparkles will be bringing the house down with every giggle and twirl. You've gotta see the magical costume, it's even got my signature pink tutu twist!
Fashion Inspiration:
And while we're talking style, my darling, Wishaw is my muse! I'm already thinking of a fashion feature all about the tartan-tastic fashion that inspires my looks for the performance. Get ready to embrace some beautiful, classic styles. I’m picturing tartan, kilt-inspired silhouettes, all tied together with a hint of Pink Tutu Sparkles magic, of course!
But it doesn't end there. We're also diving into some of Scotland’s incredible history. Just imagine the tartan prints in a vibrant pink hue! Think regal and extravagant but still totally unique and on-trend.
And let's talk about the accessory! Can a girl go to Scotland without a bonnie wee kilt for her accessories? Not on my watch!
