Lyon: A Pink Tutu Odyssey (Post #565)

Bonjour, my lovelies! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing, ballet-obsessed drag queen, bringing you another slice of life from my fabulous adventures!

Today, we're in Lyon, a city that's truly stealing my heart. I mean, just picture it: cobbled streets, historic buildings, stunning architecture – it's like stepping back in time with a sprinkle of modern flair! Oh, and don't even get me started on the food – delicious, rich, and so full of flavour, it's a foodie's paradise!

Now, how did I get here? Why, by train, of course! Nothing beats the romance of a journey on the rails, especially when you're dressed in your best pink ensemble (I mean, can a true queen really resist a bit of sartorial sparkle?).

I had to make a stop in Paris on the way, of course. It wouldn't be right to whizz straight through! And let me tell you, my dear readers, the French really do know how to create a spectacle. I saw a magnificent performance of Giselle at the Palais Garnier – it was so breathtaking, I nearly lost my little tiara!

Anyway, onto Lyon!

Firstly, you have to understand that this is a city that practically radiates pink! Every corner I turned seemed to be adorned with gorgeous rose-tinted blooms – a real treat for a queen who's so very partial to the colour pink. Speaking of, you know I had to rock my finest pink tulle at the Musée des Tissus et des Arts Décoratifs. Oh my goodness, the sheer volume of exquisite fabrics and fashions from throughout history had me absolutely mesmerized! Imagine a whole museum devoted to celebrating the magic of clothes – it's a dream come true!

Of course, I couldn't leave without visiting the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière. Talk about awe-inspiring! Perched up on a hill, offering panoramic views of the city, it was truly magnificent. Imagine the power of pink combined with the architectural prowess of this beautiful building – sheer brilliance!

After all that sightseeing, it was time for a little bit of drag magic! I landed a gig at a fantastic venue in the heart of Lyon – let's just say, the locals loved me. We laughed, we danced, and the stage practically glittered with my own brand of pink-hued fabulousness. It was a true joy to spread the message of sparkle and joy.

And as always, I wouldn't be true to my own spirit if I didn't do a little shopping. Now, Lyon is a shopping mecca! I discovered a boutique selling the most amazing collection of pink shoes – it was practically impossible to leave without a new pair for my ever-growing shoe collection. Just another day in the life of your favourite pink tutu queen!

As the sun began its descent, casting long, elegant shadows across the city, I reflected on another day well-spent. There's something about this city that captures the imagination, something so charming and captivating, something that whispers tales of ancient grandeur.

But don't worry, my darling readers, I'm not planning on staying in this charming city for too long. My heart's set on exploring a little further afield! My next destination: Prague, the city of a hundred spires!

I have a feeling my pink tutu is going to get a whole lot of attention in that vibrant and enchanting city.

Stay tuned for my next post, darlings!

P.S. Have you embraced the pink tutu life yet?
