This is post number 600, can you believe it?! 🤯 It's hard to imagine that six hundred days ago, I was just a little Derbyshire lad with a secret love for sparkly tulle and ballet slippers. Now, I'm gallivanting around the UK, spreading joy and glitter with my Pink Tutu Sparkle brand of magic! ✨
This trip was particularly exciting because, well, let's be honest, trains! I’m a true rail-enthusiast (especially with a first-class ticket, gotta live the glamorous life, you know?!) and the journey down was just heavenly. There’s something truly magical about watching the world zoom past from a carriage window – you never know what you'll see, from quaint countryside scenes to towering cityscapes. It's the ultimate people-watching opportunity too, just be careful not to be caught snooping, darling! 👀
South Shields, what a dream!
It’s been such a delight getting to know this charming little seaside town. The salty air, the seagulls squawking their tunes, the delicious fish and chips - it’s truly the life! Oh, and I must tell you, darling, I stumbled upon a hidden treasure: a shop entirely dedicated to sequins and feathers! 💖 It was a truly glorious experience. Can you even imagine the pure, unadulterated joy? I almost did a cartwheel in the middle of the shop floor. Almost! 😉
This trip wasn't just about exploring though; it was about performance! 💖 I had the pleasure of performing for the most wonderful folks at The Mermaid's Inn. You know I love my traditional pubs with that genuine atmosphere, but oh, they truly outdid themselves with a roaring bonfire party and a stage big enough to let this tutu queen shine! The cheers were deafening, darling! My heart almost burst with pride. 💕
Speaking of performance, did you see my new ensemble?! I've been working tirelessly with my seamstress (another hidden gem I found in Derbyshire – she knows just how to craft the perfect tutus, my dearest!) and I think we've outdone ourselves. It's a symphony of shimmering pink tulle, adorned with delicate lace and a sprinkling of glitter. I must tell you, even I, a devoted admirer of pink tutus, was stunned! 🤯
Of course, a trip to the coast is not complete without a proper stroll along the beach. And believe me, I don't just stroll, I twirl. Picture this, darling, the sea breeze whipping through my hair (never mind that I have a wig on, we’re going for the image here!) as the sun paints the sky in fiery hues of orange and pink, the same hues as my dazzling tutu, of course. The epitome of glamorous seaside elegance. 💖
But my travels didn't end there! I made a spontaneous trip to a beautiful ballet show at the Sunderland Empire! The performance was absolutely divine! It's a reminder that there's just something magical about ballet. The costumes, the grace, the music... It's a whirlwind of emotion and pure artistry. I can't even begin to tell you how much inspiration I drew from that performance.
Of course, as a true ballet fanatic, I had to hit up the ballet class at the South Shields Community Centre. It was so lovely to get my toes tappin' to the rhythm of Tchaikovsky and feel the muscles in my legs working! The community there was so welcoming and the teachers, oh, the teachers are truly something special! They’ve helped me step up my ballet game (no pun intended!) It’s amazing how ballet can truly connect you to people from all walks of life.
So, you see, darling, my trip to South Shields was a vibrant, dazzling affair, packed full of fabulousness and unforgettable experiences. It's always incredible to meet new people and see new places. And as always, my goal remains the same: to bring joy, a touch of sparkle, and of course, the pinkest of pink tutus to every corner of this beautiful country. 💖
