The Charnwood Museum: I found myself totally mesmerised by this place, darling. It's filled with the most incredible artefacts from the history of the area! Honestly, this town has a really fascinating story to tell, from its rich mining heritage to its fascinating folklore! And the staff was so welcoming. They gave me a warm welcome with a smile and told me about the museum's amazing collection, including ancient Roman pottery and relics of Loughborough's early Victorian industries. They even told me all about the "Loughborough Flyer" – one of the first-ever locomotives ever built. Honestly, I got to imagine this grand steam train going past a field filled with my little pink tutu-wearing friends! So empowering!
The University of Loughborough: If you're a fan of science like me, this place is a total must! The University of Loughborough is renowned for its groundbreaking scientific research, from sports science to bioengineering! And their campus is so impressive, just teeming with life, like a beehive of talented students buzzing with inspiration! I felt like I was transported back to my own university days, when the only thing on my mind was finding the perfect tutu for the university dance club.
