Urmston Calling! Pink Tutu Sparkles on the Road, Post #680

Hello darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to shimmy and sparkle my way through another exciting adventure. I'm popping in to you live from Urmston, a charming little town in Greater Manchester. Honestly, I was so excited to get here! Manchester holds a special place in my heart - a fabulous hub of theatre, music, and vibrant creativity. And let's face it, there's nothing quite like the thrill of venturing into new, unfamiliar territories, my little tutu twirling all the way.

Now, if you're thinking this trip is all about sequins and selfies, well, you're not entirely wrong, darlings! But it's about so much more. It's about embracing life's beauty in every form, be it a quaint antique shop brimming with treasures, a cobbled street bathed in the golden hues of an afternoon sun, or a stunning ballet performance that sweeps you away in a whirlwind of artistry. I mean, let's be real, how could I possibly resist the call of a town known for its incredible theatre scene?

Speaking of ballet, oh my, do I have a story to tell! It all started last week at a delightful local festival in Derbyshire. They had a little ballet workshop, just for fun, and of course, Pink Tutu Sparkles was ready to leap and twirl! I spotted this adorable young girl, barely five, gazing at me with such wonder. Her eyes were wide, her little face a mixture of awe and excitement as I pirouetted around in my pink tulle masterpiece. It truly brought a tear to my eye, a reminder of the magic of performing, the joy of making a little someone’s day with a simple twirl. It's moments like that that make all the hard work and glitter glue worthwhile, don’t you think?

Anyway, back to my exciting journey to Urmston! You might be wondering how I got here, and let me tell you, darling, it was quite an adventure. Of course, being a responsible, fashionable queen, I couldn't resist a journey aboard the beautiful railway. The countryside flew by in a blur of green and golden fields, dotted with quaint cottages, the rhythmic clickety-clack of the train the perfect soundtrack for a queen on the move! My journey was nothing short of a visual feast - the changing colours of the sky, the dappled light filtering through the trees, it was a beautiful ballet in motion, don't you think?

Oh, and before we forget, have I told you about the horse? My good friend, a real-life knight in shining armour, let me borrow his magnificent steed for the final stretch of my journey to Urmston. You know, you wouldn't believe how therapeutic it is to feel the wind in your hair as you ride across rolling hills! A real taste of the "country life," and quite an experience to add to my little black book of memories. I swear, darling, I think even the horses in Urmston will be joining my #PinkTutuChallenge by the end of my visit.

But of course, darling, the real purpose of my Urmston escapade was the performance itself! This time I was invited to perform at the fabulous "Thistlewick Tavern", a charming little pub brimming with character and welcoming faces. I couldn’t resist wearing my new dazzling pink tutu - the most shimmering tulle you've ever seen! Every detail carefully planned - the sequined bodice, the feathered gloves, even the perfect pink lipstick!

The night was a triumph! My audiences laughed, cheered, and even shed a tear or two (in a good way, of course!). I danced my heart out, showcasing my signature pink tutu elegance alongside a mix of pop favourites and Broadway ballads. You know, darling, it never fails to amaze me - the joy, the connection, the pure electricity of a shared moment with the audience.

Oh, and did I mention the food?! Urmston definitely has some delicious treats. I even treated myself to some traditional Manchester Eccles cakes (deliciously sticky and sugary, they were!) and a truly incredible roast dinner! This part of England has the best food, darling! The pub even had a delicious vegetarian roast, with a huge yorkshire pudding, roasted vegetables, a side of gravy - my heart skipped a beat. The owner of the pub, a wonderful man named Nigel, said it was traditional to bring a plate of Eccles Cakes to visitors! Such lovely hospitality! I was truly touched! He even complimented me on my dance routine and I had a wonderful conversation with him about ballet.

The next morning, before leaving for my train journey back to Derbyshire, I strolled through the lovely shops of Urmston. There’s nothing like discovering the treasures a little town holds - I bought the most gorgeous pink feathered headband in the prettiest vintage store! Honestly, every corner of this town had a little surprise - from the cobbled streets lined with quaint boutiques, to the vibrant local markets, to the friendly, chatty people who made my visit even more special.

As I write this from my hotel room in Manchester (I’ve chosen a chic pink and silver themed one, naturally!) and pack my dazzling, but perfectly pink, luggage for my train journey back to my little corner of Derbyshire, I'm filled with a deep sense of contentment. This trip was truly one to remember. The magical moments, the kind hearts, the sparkling performances, all woven together by my pink tutu like the threads of a magnificent, dazzling story.

Darling, I can't wait to share my next adventures with you!

See you soon!

Love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles

xXx
