Falkirk: A Whirlwind of Colour and Charm!
You guys know I love exploring the UK and, oh my gosh, Falkirk just blew my mind! 🤩 The energy in this town is infectious. Think bustling markets bursting with colour, historic sites whispering secrets, and friendly faces welcoming you with open arms. From the moment I stepped off the train (well, actually I had to wait for my dear friend Henrietta the horse, he’s still a bit fidgety when travelling to new places) I felt at home! 🏡
The Perfect Tutu Destination!
Now, let's talk about tutus! Did you know that Falkirk is home to some incredible ballet performances? 🩰 It was simply divine to see the talent at the Falkirk Theatre. The costumes were stunning and the dancers' movements? Simply mesmerising. And you bet I took full advantage of being in such a creative city! I spent a day browsing in the delightful shops, sourcing the most incredible fabrics to add some extra "oomph" to my current tutu collection. It's an addiction, I know, but there are simply too many amazing fabrics out there in the world for me to ignore! 😂
Falkirk: A Blast from the Past!
Beyond the modern delights, Falkirk has some amazing history too! 🏰 I spent an afternoon wandering the Falkirk Wheel, gazing at the iconic engineering marvel. It truly was a sight to behold, a testament to human ingenuity! And don't even get me started on the incredible views of the canal and surrounding countryside. It was pure magic, just like something from a fairytale!
Sharing the Pink Tutu Love!
One of my biggest missions is to inspire others to embrace the power of a pink tutu! And in Falkirk, I had a chance to share the magic with everyone! I held a pink tutu workshop at a local community centre, teaching kids and adults how to embrace the sparkle and create their own dazzling tutu masterpieces. 🌈
Seeing their faces light up with joy and pride was worth every moment. There was such a lovely sense of community! It made me so happy to see everyone spreading the pink tutu love. You guys, if I've managed to encourage just one more person to wear a tutu with confidence and embrace their inner fabulousness, then my job here is done! 🥰
From Scientist by Day to Tutu Queen by Night
For those of you who are new to my story, I'm Alex by day and Pink Tutu Sparkles by night! It’s not always easy balancing a career in science with a busy drag queen lifestyle but I just adore creating a sense of magic. After all, my first taste of tutu magic came from a charity fundraiser at university while I was studying science! 🧪💃 I can’t deny, the moment I put on that tutu I felt something truly special. And that feeling has been with me ever since. I’m incredibly grateful for the science lab that provides me with an understanding of fabric and dyes, I wouldn’t have half as much fun with my tutus if I didn’t understand them.
Falkirk: Farewell, for now!
