Chelmsford Calling: Post 820! 🩰💖

Hello darlings! It's your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another sparkly post, and this time, I'm heading to the charming town of Chelmsford, Essex! This was a real dream come true for me, not only for the lovely crowds and the amazing venue, but because, let's be honest, I've always loved the sound of 'Chelmsford'. Just say it out loud – it rolls off the tongue like a shimmering pink ribbon! 😉

You guys know how much I love getting out and about, exploring new towns, and performing in all sorts of fun locations. It’s like a neverending adventure in pink tulle and glitter, and Chelmsford was no exception!

Before I even arrived, I got excited, not only about performing, but because it meant a whole new city to discover and a shopping spree! Let’s be real, finding a decent pink tutu is hard enough back home, so I couldn’t resist having a rummage around the local boutiques – the town had some real gems! I did snag a particularly lovely, bright pink, feathery tutu (with sequins!), that you might be able to spot in some of my Chelmsford pics… 👀💖

Speaking of pics, you'll find a whole gallery on my website (don't forget to check out www.pink-tutu.com for more dazzling photos!), showcasing my Chelmsford performance. There was some fabulous, twirling, shimmying action and, of course, the perfect blend of playful pink and sequins. You'll see some gorgeous stage lights and even a couple of my favourite pink feather boas – they were like two fluffy, pink, mischievous angels in a world of sparkly fun!

But it wasn't all about dazzling in the spotlight! My trip to Chelmsford wouldn't have been complete without exploring its little corners and charming cafes. The Victorian architecture made my heart skip a beat – all those beautiful pastel colours! And did I mention the stunning cathedral? Oh, my darling, it felt like a fairytale, right out of a romantic novel! And what's more magical than a fairytale, well, apart from me, of course, in a sparkly pink tutu? 😏

One of the highlights was finding the most charming little tea room in the town square. Oh, how I do love afternoon tea, and this one was particularly lovely, featuring pink and cream cupcakes that were just screaming “Tutu Queen” and even a pink lemonade for yours truly! It’s the little things, darlings, that make a trip special – and a good pink cake just takes any experience to the next level! 🧁

Of course, no visit to Chelmsford would be complete without seeing their incredible Hylands House and Estate. It felt like stepping back in time – like something from a period drama. I actually envisioned myself in a classic 1950s pink ball gown with a fluffy tulle petticoat, walking those beautiful grounds. My imagination just went wild! (But, alas, no ball gown, but I did wear my fabulous hot pink pumps!)

Talking of glamour, remember I said I took the train? Because everyone knows the most fabulous way to arrive at a performance is by train, in style, in a shimmering pink tutu and sparkly heels! I may be in a different part of the country, but the “Pink Tutu Queen” is always travelling in fashion, right?

I met so many lovely people during my visit. They loved my performances and really embraced the pink! The children were especially fond of my big fluffy skirt – they kept asking if they could touch it! "Oh, but darling, of course you can!" The parents were a little less enthusiastic, probably afraid I'd give them an excuse to wear a tutu themselves… 😂 But they all loved my story about becoming a drag artist, the joy and passion, the journey it took me on – and, of course, they loved the message of being unapologetically fabulous! It always makes me so happy when my work can connect with others and help them embrace their own unique sparkle.

The crowds, of course, embraced my ‘get everyone in a pink tutu’ mantra! By the end of my show, I had quite a few folks wearing pink in all sorts of creative ways, whether it be a pink ribbon or a pink scarf – I had to remind them to embrace the tutu magic! I had to show them how a pink tulle skirt can unleash their inner sparkle!

One particularly sweet moment was when a young girl, maybe six or seven years old, asked me if I would give her a twirl. I have to admit, I’m all for encouraging kids to love twirling – it’s one of the best forms of expression! It really took me back to my own ballet classes and the thrill of twirling in a pink tutu (okay, mine had more frills than theirs, but you know, every girl deserves her tutu moment). And in that moment, I realised – I was inspiring! I had found my reason for twirling, sparkling and, of course, rocking that fabulous pink tulle! I can't ask for anything more than to help other people embrace the magical feeling that only a pink tutu can bring.

Chelmsford, my dears, you've been such a sweet treat, and I'll be back for sure. It’s all about the pink, the joy, the sparkles and, of course, the magic that only a Pink Tutu Sparkles can bring! Keep watching for more travel adventures on pink-tutu.com – I promise, it's gonna be even more fabulous! 💖

Until then, embrace your inner sparkler, live your best life in a fabulous pink tutu, and keep spreading that pink joy!

P.S. Remember to always believe in the magic of pink tutus! It’s in you, waiting to be unleashed. Believe me, it’s true. 🤫

Love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles 💋
