Hello darlings! It's your favourite tutu-wearing, pink-loving, queen of all things fabulous, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here with blog post number 935! Today, I'm bringing you all the sparkly goodness from my trip to the absolutely delightful Middleton!
Now, as many of you know, I'm a big fan of travelling in style. Train journeys are my jam – comfy seats, a good book, and enough time to get into full drag mode! 😉 But, on occasion, I like to take a detour from the usual iron tracks and opt for something a bit more adventurous – like a horse ride! I did just that to reach the beautiful village of Middleton, and let me tell you, there's something quite magical about feeling the breeze on your face and the rhythm of hooves beneath you as you travel through the countryside.
Midleton was absolutely charming, with its quaint streets, little shops bursting with character, and enough beautiful old buildings to make a queen like me positively giddy! My first stop had to be the local library, naturally. You see, my quest to inspire the world to wear pink tutus isn't just about the glamour, darling, it's about spreading a message of joy, inclusivity, and the importance of embracing your inner ballerina. So, I donated some of my vintage ballet books – including a signed copy of "Swan Lake" (who knew I had a secret fangirl crush on the Royal Ballet?!) – to their collection, hoping to spark some tutus-wearing magic amongst the young (and young-at-heart) residents of Middleton.
After my library stop, it was time for some serious tutu-shopping! You know me – always on the hunt for the perfect pink tulle! Luckily, Middleton didn't disappoint. A little vintage clothing shop called "Threadbare Treasures" was hiding a little treasure of its own – a beautiful, blush pink, hand-beaded tutu, complete with feathers and a sequined waistband! Honestly, darlings, it was like it was made for me!
But my adventure wasn't all about shopping and books, of course! The true star of the show in Middleton is the local theatre – a glorious old building that has seen generations of performers grace its stage. And I, Pink Tutu Sparkles, wasn't going to miss my chance to perform there! I spent the afternoon perfecting my ballet-inspired routine, and let me tell you, those rehearsals were sweaty, but worth every drop of sweat! 😉 My showstopper outfit, of course, featured my newly acquired vintage tutu, a sparkly bodice, and feather boas galore. The whole town seemed to be buzzing about the "Pink Tutu Sparkles Show" (they even added a little blurb about me to the local newspaper! Fame, darling, fame!), and by the end of the performance, the entire theatre was bathed in the joyous pink glow of my shimmering tulle!
Speaking of pink glows, the sunsets in Middleton were truly breathtaking! Watching the colours dance across the sky was a moment of pure serenity and reminded me, yet again, why I love this job so much. Each town I visit is unique and special in its own way, and spreading a message of joy and love through my art is something I hold close to my heart.
You know, darlings, there's a real beauty to small town living. It reminds me that we don't need flashy, big-city venues to create magic – it can happen anywhere, with a sprinkle of glitter, a touch of pink, and a whole lot of heart!
