Hello, darlings! Your favourite pink tutu-clad queen is back with another fabulously fabulous blog post, straight from the glittery shores of Bournemouth!
As you know, I'm Alex by day, a humble scientist dedicated to ensuring fabrics stay fab. But by night, I transform into your darling Pink Tutu Sparkles, ready to bring a splash of colour and sparkle to the world.
And speaking of sparkle, Bournemouth has been shimmering like a thousand disco balls! I arrived yesterday by train, of course, what else? It’s a lot more stylish than the coach, especially when you're sporting a custom pink feather boa and your signature tutu, the “Hot Pink Flamingo.”
This journey was extra special because, for the first time ever, I brought my new little helper – “Princess Sparkle,” my little, pink sequin-covered travel bag, which you all know I had to buy at Harrods because of course it is all the best things in life, lol! The sales assistants practically drooled over it, all gasping, "Oh, my God, it's stunning!". Well, I have to say, it did hold my amazing diamante-studded high heels perfectly!
The moment I stepped off the train and felt the sea air on my face, I knew this trip was going to be amazing. It just had that "magic" about it! And, let's be honest, you can't go to the seaside without wearing pink. You simply can't! Just look at my new beach dress: a delightful pink number with shimmering seashells and the tiniest dash of glitter, so appropriate, wouldn't you say? My trusty pink parasol adds a dash of whimsical shade, as well.
Tonight, I'm headlining at "The Sparkle and Shine Club,” one of Bournemouth's hottest new venues, so you better believe I'm already prepping my makeup routine. It’s a bit different than what you’d see at the local Derbyshire town hall where I normally do a weekly show, so this time I'm adding some extra glitter. I have some absolutely fabulous new eye shadow shades that look like tiny pink sequins in the light, and let’s not forget about my "Queenly Grace" lashes, the ones that literally look like I have tiny sparkly butterflies on my eyelids. My whole routine is going to be breathtaking, darlings! And the best part is I can’t wait to see what other beautiful queens are showing up!
Speaking of beauty, Bournemouth itself is just incredible. The colours are gorgeous: the pale blue of the sea, the bright pink of the beach huts, the green of the gardens and parks! It just screams summer glamour and excitement. The beach is breathtaking, as you’d expect. All the tourists and holidaymakers make for a fun and eclectic crowd. But my real passion is a new place I found, the "Bournemouth Ballet Academy"! Can you believe it? I've been dancing around in pink tutus for years and never realised the heart of this place is a real love of dance! Of course, I have been so busy being the dazzling Pink Tutu Sparkles, a bit of a serious career and that life. You can’t imagine how I’m excited to see some dancers in real tutus performing real ballet, not just little Pink Tutu Sparkle! I did book some lessons and even found a new pink tutu for it – you just have to get yourself one. It is pure, pink happiness. It is the kind of outfit where no matter your level, you'll feel like you can fly on stage!
However, my little journey is already halfway through. You know me – a true glitter-bomb fashion queen is always moving, travelling around spreading the joy of pink tutus to every corner of the country. Tomorrow, I'm headed for a fun, local fair called the "Pink and Fluffy Fair" – I can't wait to bring some sparkle and share a little of Pink Tutu Sparkle magic with the folks in this fantastic place. But before that, let me go and find myself a delicious cup of tea – English breakfast with two sugars – while I think of new moves for tonight! I'm sure they'll love my new “Pink Tutu Twirl,” which includes a whole lot of swirling, twirling, and of course, a splash of that legendary pink tutu magic!
