Hello, darlings! It's your Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, and I'm absolutely buzzing to be back with you for post number 1081 on www.pink-tutu.com. Today's adventure? Lyon! The city of lights, of history, and oh, my dears, of gorgeous architecture! You wouldn't believe the amount of inspiration for a fabulous tutu I found here!
It was a long journey, but nothing a good train ride with a captivating book couldn't solve! As usual, I was decked out in full Pink Tutu Sparkles attire: a shimmering pink tutu, a sparkling top, and a pair of pink feather boas, of course! You never know who you'll meet on a train journey, and I met the loveliest group of elderly ladies heading to a theatre performance. I chatted with them for hours, about ballet, about theatre, about everything in between. I swear, those ladies knew more about fabrics and the history of dance than most designers I've met! It truly was a tutu-rifically insightful journey!
Upon arriving in Lyon, I headed straight for the ballet studio – what else? They had the most exquisite collection of tutus, just begging to be twirled! The colours, the fabrics, the sparkle – I was in heaven! They even had a stunningly sparkly, silver and pink one for me to try on. Imagine my excitement! The feeling of the fabric swirling around you as you take your first plié, the soft padding protecting you – I don't think I ever wanted to take it off.
Of course, the ballet wasn't just for me to enjoy – I took in a fabulous performance at the Opéra de Lyon, the sheer brilliance of it all was almost blinding. The graceful movements, the captivating stories, the breathtaking music - it all truly transported me to another realm! And what a stunning venue it was! Every detail was absolutely fabulous, every ornament, every frill, it felt like I'd stepped right out of a fairytale. I’m still pinching myself that I got to be a part of such an enchanting experience.
The following day, I had a chance to truly soak in Lyon's beautiful streets. I love meandering around city centres, just watching the people, the shops, the cafes... It was so very inspiring! Every corner I turned seemed to be teeming with creative energy! Everywhere I went, I had a pink tutu on. I even stopped by a little cafe and had a cuppa with the cafe owner. I mean, she couldn't believe it at first – but what can I say, when you're with Pink Tutu Sparkles, you expect the unexpected! And honestly, who wouldn't want to sip a cappuccino with a fabulous tutu-wearing queen? She ended up being the absolute darling, buying me a whole slice of flaky, sugary goodness! You can imagine my glee - sugar and sparkles, what more could I need!
The night brought the joy of performing! I snagged myself a gig in a lively pub, singing some of my favorite show tunes – just wait 'til you hear me belting out "I Want to Be a Prima Ballerina"! Honestly, the whole place went crazy for it! After the performance, the crowd swarmed me with compliments – they even did a little line dancing after a few too many drinks, bless their cotton socks. I couldn't believe the energy, It was a truly tutu-tastic time!
Leaving Lyon was tough – but every journey must have an ending, Right? I packed my bags with enough souvenirs to last me a lifetime. I’m planning to use them for some upcoming creations! You can just imagine how exciting those will be! Of course, a big, bright pink tutu, made entirely of little glittery Parisian baguettes would be top of my list!
So, there you have it, darlings – another adventure in the books! Now I must away! To London, then Paris! Who knows what Tutu-licious adventures await.
