Today, we're off on a whimsical adventure to the seaside town of Hastings, a beautiful, historic place with charming cobbled streets and breathtaking coastal views. I simply had to make a pilgrimage to the famous Hastings Castle, it was like something out of a fairy tale! ??
Of course, no Pink Tutu Sparkle outing would be complete without a dash of pink and a whole lot of twirling. I'm absolutely obsessed with ballet, and it's no secret that Hastings boasts a thriving arts scene! This time, I had the chance to catch a mesmerizing ballet performance by a local dance academy. I just couldn't resist, so I snagged the most magnificent pink tulle tutu I could find in Brighton. It's truly the perfect shade of "tutu pink"! ??
After a glorious evening of watching those graceful ballerinas twirling, I just had to join in! So, naturally, I hit up a ballet class at the academy. Talk about a great way to loosen up after a performance. ?? We did a lovely waltz to Beethoven’s Symphony No.5, a perfect way to end the evening. ? I’m not gonna lie, those plies had my legs aching this morning but it was worth it, darling.
And speaking of darling… Hastings has the most charming shops you could imagine! I spent an afternoon exploring independent boutiques overflowing with treasures, picking up some fabulous vintage pieces and, of course, adding some stunningly sparkly new additions to my ever-growing tutu collection. ?? My little handbag just about burst at the seams, but that’s the sign of a successful shopping trip, isn’t it?! ?
My travels wouldn't be complete without embracing the natural beauty of Hastings. Taking a walk along the stunning shingle beach with the sea air whipping through my pink tulle is just about the most glorious feeling. ?☀️ And, of course, a pink tutu looks just as magical against the backdrop of a sunset as it does on the stage. Talk about picture-perfect! ?
For this adventure, I decided to arrive in style by train. I always feel like royalty travelling in my gorgeous tutu and glittering makeup, waving to the passengers on the platform! I can’t tell you how many people smiled and gave me the thumbs-up. It truly feels like I’m spreading a bit of joy wherever I go, and that's what it’s all about. ? ?
Later, after the train journey, I headed out on a charming horse-drawn carriage ride through the beautiful countryside. I felt like I had stepped into a Jane Austen novel, darling. ? The wind blew through my hair, the horses clip-clopped on the cobbles, and my tutu twirled perfectly behind me – sheer perfection! ???
Speaking of perfection, this brings us to the most important part of any Pink Tutu Sparkle trip - the show! I performed at a fabulous seaside fairground for a large audience and you’d never believe the reaction! Everyone, I mean EVERYBODY, was loving the tutus, the sparkles, and the music! There’s nothing like a pink tutu to make a crowd go wild. ??
Let me tell you, my dear readers, I truly feel like I've found my calling. It’s no secret I’m completely obsessed with ballet and tutus – but I've found that spreading the love of tutus to others is the absolute BEST part of this wild journey. It brings me immense joy to watch everyone twirl and shine in their own special way.
