Darling! It's time for a quick update as I'm all flustered, excited, and ready for another fabulous adventure! Just look at this glorious sunshine and blue sky! It's going to be the most perfect day to twirl!
You all know how much I love to travel. Whether it's catching a train across the country or galloping across the countryside on my favourite horse, a change of scene is good for the soul, darlings. And when that scene includes dazzling stage lights, excited audiences, and lots of tutus? Well, it's a fairytale!
I'm on my way to Rochester today for a very special engagement. I'll be twirling and sparkling, performing for the local arts centre. I must tell you, this is a particular gem, and I cannot wait to get my paws on the stage.
Before we dive into the details of this showstopper, a bit of a peek behind the sequins: life outside of the glitterati and backstage drama. It might surprise you to know, darling, that while you are being mesmerised by my pink feathered show, your favourite drag queen has been toiling in a science lab! Yes! Your queen is a science geek at heart. Not only that, I’ve been known to pull on my trusty lab coat, put my feet into trusty DMs and delve deep into fabric testing. Who knew all that pink twirling had scientific secrets hiding in the folds?!
But don't get me wrong. Just because I wear a white lab coat during the day doesn't mean that my nights aren't spent adorned in sequins, plumes, and, of course, my favourite - the perfect pink tutu. As I told you before, this whole Pink Tutu Sparkles drag persona began with a giggle, a charity fundraising event, and, you guessed it! The most glorious, fabulous, pink tutu I'd ever set eyes on. It happened in university during my scientific adventures. I fell head over heels for that tutu, the pink, the frills, the glitter, everything.
Speaking of science, one of the most thrilling and fabulous scientific discoveries of the past decade is the undeniable power of a well-chosen tutu! From our first outing at the university, pink and fluffy, the tutu is a phenomenon! No more shy university student, only the queen who’s determined to spread joy.
But back to Rochester! A lovely old town nestled by the sea, it's a picturesque scene in itself. It’s filled with historic charm and a warmth that embraces the community spirit! I can't wait to soak up the local vibes and get inspired. Who knows, darling, this lovely town may even inspire a new song and dance!
Now, a little glimpse into the day's itinerary, darlings. My trusty horse, Sparky (you might recognise the name!) is ready to carry me on my adventure. The morning starts with a leisurely stroll down the local high street. Nothing can compare to the joy of a good rummage in charity shops for some quirky finds and inspiration, darlings. I'll be on the hunt for a little something special to add to my wardrobe.
In the afternoon, we'll be heading for a visit to a ballet school, not just to catch a performance, but to learn! Yes, this queen is not only a drag performer but also a huge ballet enthusiast! Learning is so much fun! I love to keep my skills sharp! I have such a soft spot for this type of dancing and I’m determined to spread that passion to others!
Come evening, we'll be at the heart of Rochester, in the lovely art centre, for my main event. This place looks gorgeous – all those stone walls and towering high ceilings will definitely be creating the right kind of mystical magic for my performance. I will be bringing a touch of my Pink Tutu magic and sparkle to Rochester with a dazzling, glittering show, guaranteed to fill the room with laughter, light, and even a little tear.
I must share my most treasured advice with you darling, as you all know I believe that sharing is caring! Take a leap of faith. Follow your passions. Be bold! Who knows, just maybe one day you too can be twirling across a stage in a pink tutu and glittering under the spotlight!
