This week, I took my love for tutus and a passion for travelling on the rails, straight to the delightful town of Altrincham! Now, Altrincham might not be the first place that pops into your head when you think of tutu-tastic adventures, but trust me, this little Cheshire gem has more surprises than a giant box of glitter!

You all know my love for tutus knows no bounds! I believe every occasion calls for a splash of pink tulle. But even my biggest fan will admit, it's not often I find a place to rock a tutu AND be embraced for it. Altrincham, however, turned out to be my perfect fit!
My journey began at Altrincham’s fabulous theatre, a beautiful old building bursting with charm and a whole lot of history. What was my inspiration? The chance to twirl alongside talented young ballerinas in the gorgeous “Nutcracker” performance. This enchanting story and exquisite choreography were the perfect excuse to get my pink tutu out and give the audience a real sparkle show.
I'm talking about a symphony of swirls, a chorus of tulle, and a dazzling display of rhinestones. The theatre's lighting captured my pinkness in all its glory, and I could practically feel the love (and maybe even some envy!) pouring down from the seats.
Later, I slipped into my favourite little boutique in Altrincham, aptly named “Twirl and Swish”, which specialises in tutus, sequins, and all things glitter-tastic. This delightful shop is a treasure trove for any aspiring princess (or even a real life princess looking for a pink makeover). The owner, a darling named “Bubbles”, was thrilled to meet a fellow tutu fanatic! We ended up having tea, discussing the joys of performing, and giggling over our shared passion for glitter (always more glitter).

The most unique experience? A visit to “The Cheshire Cat”, an art gallery with a focus on surreal and whimsical artwork, perfectly suited to a flamboyant, tutu-loving girl like myself. Imagine paintings that transport you to other worlds and sculptures that make you giggle with delight. It was truly a testament to Altrincham's artistic heart.

By day, you can find me in my science lab, my secret world of beakers and bubbling chemicals. It's not a world many people would expect for a glamorous drag queen, right? But here's the thing, darling: my day job isn't all beakers and boring research.
I spend my days testing fabrics for their strength and resilience. This might sound mundane, but think of it this way, I’m making sure the fabric you wear is durable enough for all your fabulous activities, from tutus to dresses, and even those dazzling costumes you'll see at the theatre.
