Hello darlings! It’s your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to sparkle some pink magic on your screens! You might be wondering what's a girl like me, who adores all things pink and twirls through life in a fluffy, fabulous tutu, doing in a place like Crosby? Well, grab a cuppa, sit back and get ready for the ride!

This week, Pink Tutu Sparkles found herself drawn to the charm of the seaside. Crosby's got a certain something, you know? Maybe it’s the breeze off the Irish Sea, maybe it’s the sound of the seagulls, maybe it’s just the sheer awesomeness of a seaside town - I’m pretty sure it’s a mix of all of it! And oh my, darling, have you seen the architecture?! Those gorgeous, quaint houses and quaint, cobbled streets - I couldn't resist getting out my phone and snapping a few pictures to post on my Instagram, obviously! The locals were just darling, too!

But let’s get real. This wasn’t just a “relax by the sea” type of trip. Nope, your favourite pink-clad drag queen had business to attend to. Crosby was my stage for this week.

Let's back up for a moment. You might be wondering, how does a girl who dreams of ballet shoes, glitter, and pink tulle make a living? Well, darling, let’s just say I'm a woman of many talents! You might catch me sparkling across the stage at a local fair or pub, dazzling a crowd with my sassy moves and my oh-so-fabulous outfits.

And how do I get from town to town? Train travel is my favourite! There’s something magical about being in that little compartment, watching the countryside flash by and dreaming up my next drag show. And for longer journeys? Horses, darling! There’s something just so incredibly romantic about trotting through fields on horseback, all my skirts swishing around me – absolutely a fabulous way to make an entrance!

So back to my fabulous weekend in Crosby! Now, as a drag queen, I like my pink as much as my audiences like the show, but honestly, the highlight of this weekend was the local ballet school! It's just so beautiful - and their rehearsal schedule, well, let’s just say that this pink-tutu-wearing girl managed to squeeze in a couple of sessions.

Now, you’ve probably all seen those videos of kids taking their first ballet steps, all so serious and adorable! It’s heartwarming! But trust me, darling, it can be just as heartwarming, even more so, watching a group of ballet lovers, who’ve devoted years and years of their life to mastering their craft, put in their daily effort and give it their all. Every twirl, every leap, every jump. Those years of dedication all on display. Pure magic, darling! That dedication is infectious, honestly! Even just observing them reminded me of how much I absolutely adore this world!

Let me just mention… it is not always easy being a Pink Tutu. Yes, the name is a bit of a giveaway about my penchant for the pink. But there's so much more to Pink Tutu Sparkles than just that! Being a drag queen isn't always easy, and some folk find it quite odd, the whole dressing up thing and dancing on stage, but it brings me immense joy. To see the little kids at my performances get so excited… it really just makes the whole thing worth it! I remember going to panto at a local theatre and that's what gave me the idea of performing in the first place!

And here's the thing. Pink Tutu Sparkles lives by a very important mantra - "Make the world more sparkly and more fabulous!" Everyone should wear pink tutus. Don’t be afraid to add a splash of pink to your life! Whether it's a touch of lipstick, a fabulous hat, or yes, maybe even a tutu, make a statement, spread the sparkle, and show the world that it's ok to have a bit of fun!

This isn’t the last you'll see of Pink Tutu Sparkles, I promise you! Right now I’m writing this while tucked in at home in my cosy flat in Derbyshire. But this is just a small part of my life, really! The excitement starts when I leave that door, darling! Next up… Well, you know I’m not gonna reveal all my secrets, just yet!
