#TutuQueen on 2003-04-12 stars in Caerphilly

Hello, my lovely little twirls! It’s your favourite pink-tutu-wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here! 👋

This is post number 1198, and let me tell you, this journey has been as sparkly and fabulous as a freshly-ironed tutu!

I’ve finally arrived in Caerphilly! This charming little town in Wales has been on my to-do list for ages. Now, I don’t know if you know this about me, but I've got a bit of a soft spot for castles. (And I mean, who doesn’t?) You can probably tell that from all the stunning pics on my Instagram feed – think grand turrets, ancient walls, and… oh yeah… PINK TUTU! 😜

And let’s be honest, I’m a bit of a history buff! Plus, Caerphilly Castle is one of the biggest and most impressive castles in Wales. They say it’s even bigger than some of those fancy royal residences back in London! It's just brimming with stories waiting to be discovered, from medieval knights to ancient folklore. Plus, the town itself is absolutely delightful! It has these beautiful winding cobbled streets, a fantastic local market, and – you guessed it – loads of little tea rooms. Because who could resist a cheeky afternoon tea when there’s a gorgeous castle in your sights?

But the adventure didn’t start in Caerphilly, darlings! I’ve been working hard these past few weeks to fund this exciting trip, performing at all kinds of venues. Last week, I was doing a “Tutu Takeover” in a pub in Nottingham, teaching the locals a little bit of twirl and shine. Let’s just say that a few folks were hesitant at first… but they warmed up to it once they realised the tutus are more comfy than they think! They say tutus make you feel empowered – and honestly, there's something empowering about swirling your way across the stage, sparkling from head to toe. ✨

This week, however, I took the train down to Derbyshire, where my journey actually began! I was performing at a school fair, sharing my love for all things glittery and twirly with the little ones! It's a real treat to see their eyes light up when they spot a pink tutu – and it reminds me why I do what I do. 💖

But let’s be honest, travelling isn’t just about the glitz and the glam! Sometimes, you just need a good ol’ fashioned “Pink Tutu” day. It started with a trip to the local farmers’ market, where I snagged some beautiful locally grown flowers for a centrepiece on the tour bus. I know you guys know how much I adore fresh flowers – there’s nothing quite like the way they brighten up your mood! Plus, you can never have too many blooms around you!

And after my “flower power” fix, I did what any self-respecting queen would do – I hit up the local clothing store for a bit of shopping therapy. 🛍 I am a queen, but my closet needs an ever-expanding range of shimmering tutus, and you’ve got to keep things fresh! This time, I snagged this beautiful soft peach tutu with sparkly pink trim – just divine, if I do say so myself! (Plus, it pairs perfectly with the flower bouquet! )🌸

Finally, the day ended with a beautiful sunset ride through the Derbyshire countryside. I swear, sometimes nature does the best fashion show ever! With its soft pastel colours and endless skies, it’s the perfect setting to get inspired for my next pink-tutu masterpiece. You’ll be seeing some very special looks inspired by the sunset on the tour bus. Mark my words!

The rest of the trip was pure magic! It’s hard to capture it all in a single post, but I hope this has given you a little taste of the Pink Tutu Sparkles’ world.
