Now, you all know how much I love to travel, especially by train. Something about the rhythmic clatter of the wheels against the track gets my creative juices flowing! 🚂 Plus, let's be real, it gives me a chance to showcase my fabulously pink travel attire, like this stunning cherry-blossom pink sequined jumpsuit I picked up at a vintage shop in Derbyshire. 💖
As soon as I arrived in Ramsgate, I felt like a little ballerina doll come to life. The cobblestone streets, the charming shops with their colourful awnings, and the fresh salty air – it was a scene straight out of a ballet performance! 🩰
My first stop? Of course, I had to find a pink tutu-worthy shop! 👑 And boy did I find one! This delightful boutique called "Sea Shells & Sequins" had an amazing selection of fabrics, lace, feathers, and – you guessed it! – tutus! It felt like a magical treasure trove for any drag queen. 🤩 I ended up buying a stunningly flamboyant pink tutu, so fluffy and sparkly it was almost like a cloud. ☁️ Trust me, it'll be making its debut soon!
I couldn't leave Ramsgate without indulging in its rich history. I spent the afternoon exploring the Ramsgate Tunnels, these incredible secret underground passageways carved out during the Second World War. 🔦 The whole thing was like a thrilling journey through time – with a bit of a ghostly edge, which was fitting since I was wearing my fabulous, slightly spooky, velvet witch hat. 🧙♀️
To round off my day, I took a leisurely walk along the pier, enjoying the bustling seaside atmosphere and soaking in the fresh air. And you know me – no trip is complete without some impromptu performances! So, of course, I grabbed my little ukulele and serenaded the beach with some of my favourite camp tunes. 🎤🎸 (Much to the amusement of a flock of seagulls, I'm sure! 😹)
Ramsgate, you truly charmed me! I'm already plotting my return for the next annual Ramsgate Sea Festival, so watch out, folks, for another amazing pink tutu spectacle! 💖🌊
