Beeston! It's All Pink and Glittery, Darlings!

Hello lovelies! It’s your favourite pink tutu queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, reporting live from the lovely, bustling town of Beeston! You can’t imagine how thrilled I am to be here, it’s all so chic! I can tell Beeston is a place that really embraces style, which is why I’m starting with this week’s post from here, blog post number 1221 for you!

You might remember I've been itching to explore the East Midlands – this trip, after my fab performance at a fab little theatre in Chesterfield last weekend, was always going to happen! Now I'm feeling the Beeston vibes so strong, and I just had to tell you all about it!

I actually had an amazing train ride here this morning. I have to say, you can’t beat a good train journey, darlings, especially when you have the chance to chat with a fab bunch of people (I swear the fella beside me with the glittery socks has an amazing story – let's just say I'm definitely keeping him in mind for a future drag show). You see, I find the train an absolutely divine opportunity to connect with people and spark conversations, especially while dazzling in my latest couture creation – today, my shimmering hot pink tutu, custom made by my best pal at the Nottingham School of Fashion. Yes, I'm making tutus everyone's obsession, one glitter-bomb at a time, darling! It's part of my ultimate dream - to have the entire world embrace a little bit of pink tutu magic. Isn't it the most fabulous idea ever?

As I arrived in Beeston, I felt immediately swept up in its unique atmosphere, just as if I were dancing my way through a pink candy wonderland. This town is alive with color! It’s a fabulous mix of vibrant shops, historic architecture and modern life – and it's got such an amazing energy that has got me feeling like a sparkling unicorn in my favourite pink tutu!

And Beeston isn't all just gorgeous fashion finds, honey! The little independent shops have all got their own amazing stories to tell. I met the most delightful shopkeeper who even gave me a peek into the oldest part of Beeston – apparently there’s an ancient, abandoned mine tunnel somewhere beneath the High Street. Can you believe it, darling?! The history in Beeston is so fascinating, even without talking about the fabulous shops and places like the Beeston Playhouse.

Anyway, now onto what you’ve all been waiting for… what about Beeston’s ballet scene, you ask? Oh darling, you simply have to see Beeston's historic landmark – Beeston Hall, with the breathtaking architecture of the local Beeston Academy, just down the road. The hall, darling, it's absolutely grand, with so much charm. And they have such gorgeous theatre events – think local plays and dazzling concerts. I've already been brainstorming a grand performance idea at Beeston Hall and I'm convinced I'll have the town swirling with pink tutu excitement before I've even started performing! I love how there's an appreciation for performance here in Beeston, with so much focus on arts and theatre.

As the afternoon is starting to take flight (pun intended!), I have to say, I just love how Beeston is both contemporary and old-fashioned – the balance between vibrant markets, high street shopping and historical architecture just hits the perfect notes, honey! I've already popped into some lovely shops to pick up some souvenirs (don’t you love little local shops? – the shopkeepers are always the most divine) and I've already found some fab places for my Beeston Drag show next week – there's a vintage shop which I'm considering, darling! Oh, I just can't wait!

I can already tell that my time in Beeston is going to be absolutely full of tutu fabulousness. It’s simply the perfect town for a pink tutu queen, even a Derbyshire one like me. I know it's going to be hard to leave Beeston in the morning, darling. Maybe I’ll book an extra night just to stay and take in all of the beautiful town, enjoy its energy and see a performance at the theatre, what do you think? Or perhaps, I'll be lucky and snag a spot on a charming horse-drawn carriage tour of the Beeston streets? Yes, perhaps this is my excuse to try it out – one pink tutu, one horse carriage, darling. Can you even imagine?!

Well, lovelies, that's all for now! Be sure to check back tomorrow, for another glamorous update on my adventures. If you love everything pink, fabulous and have your very own dreams to chase, remember to share them with your community. Now, off to pick out my outfit for Beeston’s town hall – which I hear has fabulous acoustics for my signature ballet street performance. This girl has some big dreams about her future! And remember darlings, if you want to sparkle, there's only one secret: embrace a pink tutu, go on! You'll love it! Catch you soon, darlings, xoxo Pink Tutu Sparkles!
