Hey gorgeous people! It’s your fave Pink Tutu Sparkles, back for blog post number 1307! And guess what? I’m in Wolverhampton! 🚃✨ Yes, the Midlands are calling, and you know I couldn't resist the call of the stage!
It’s been a bit of a whirlwind journey to get here! I had a dream about dancing with a whole troupe of sparkling pink tutus, all perfectly twirling in unison (seriously, you wouldn’t believe the vivid imagery, my inner ballet fanatic went wild!). So naturally, I had to follow that vision! After a bit of detective work (and let me tell you, even a pink-tutu wearing diva can master Google!), I found myself on a train from the scenic Derbyshire countryside to the bustling heart of Wolverhampton. And let me tell you, a train ride is one of the best ways to travel! All those amazing people watching opportunities and enough time to dream up even more fabulously pink outfits!
Speaking of fabulous outfits… This trip wouldn’t be complete without a tutu upgrade, would it? Of course not! I treated myself to the most delightful little vintage boutique tucked away in the heart of Birmingham, and my oh my, did it deliver! I found this gorgeous, lavender tulle tutu that’s begging to be spun across a stage! The shade of lavender is positively angelic, it’s just a tiny touch away from being a light pink. I'm thinking about embellishing it with some tiny sparkly butterflies! (Did I mention my love for all things whimsical? I can’t help it!)
Tonight’s show is going to be a dream come true. I'm performing at The Black Cat, which is this legendary, cosy pub with an incredible reputation for its welcoming atmosphere. The owner even mentioned that they've got an incredible stage perfect for twirling, just like a mini stage at the ballet! And they said I can do a quick change before I start, I need all the time I can get! I mean, what self-respecting diva can resist a glitter bomb on stage? And did I mention I have a surprise guest for the finale? I’m gonna keep you guessing on this one, but trust me, it’s going to be an absolute spectacle!
Before I head off to rehearsals (you wouldn't believe how many sequins and pink bows it takes to get me stage-ready), let’s chat about what brought me to this vibrant city! I’m all about taking my Pink Tutu Sparkles magic wherever it’s needed, spreading smiles and inspiring people to embrace their own unique sparkle! Plus, it wouldn’t be a proper journey without a good dose of ballet inspiration! Wolverhampton has this incredible theatre, the Grand Theatre, that's playing host to “Swan Lake” next week! The music is swirling in my head already and it’s got me aching to take to the stage and let those ballet moves flow! I’m already dreaming about how to incorporate some swan-inspired feathers into my next tutu.
