Oxford Calling: A Tutu-licious Adventure in the City of Dreaming Spires!

Hello darlings! It’s your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles here, bringing you blog post number 1320 straight from the fabulous city of Oxford! πŸ’…βœ¨

Now, I know what you're thinking. "Oxford? Really, Pink Tutu? Doesn't that seem a little, well, bookish for a queen like you?" But darling, don't you know? Even the most studious of cities needs a splash of pink tutu magic!

This week, I traded my lab coat for a sequined tutu (because darling, even scientists need a little glamour!) and hitched a ride on the cutest little steam train to the land of dreaming spires. Oh, I'm positively bursting with stories!

Oxford is such a pretty town, like stepping straight out of a fairytale! Imagine, cobbled streets, grand old buildings, and an air of scholarly charm that just begs for a touch of sparkly pink tutu flair. My heart fluttered with excitement the moment the train pulled into the station. I practically bounced off the carriage onto the platform. My trusty travelling trunk, crammed with my latest pink tutu creation (it's a multi-layered masterpiece with a hint of peacock feather!), clattered behind me like a proud peacock herself.

But darling, Oxford wasn't just about ancient stones and learned professors. There were secrets to be discovered and sparkles to be scattered!

My first stop had to be the Ashmolean Museum, home to some seriously fabulous antiquities. Imagine, centuries-old Roman mosaics, Egyptian statues, and even a couple of tutus from the Victorian era! (Alright, maybe not tutus, but I did find a fabulously frilly Victorian dress! I'm thinking it would make a fantastic tutu inspiration!)

Of course, darling, I couldn't come all this way without stopping by the Bodleian Library. The place was bursting with history and knowledge - a perfect backdrop for a selfie in my most fabulous pink tutu, naturally! My Insta-fans absolutely loved it! πŸ’–πŸ“š

And speaking of fabulous backdrops, did I tell you about the Oxford Botanic Garden? It was like stepping into a wonderland of exotic flowers, towering trees, and the most picturesque pond you ever did see. You just wouldn't believe how perfect it was for twirling! πŸ’ƒπŸŒ·

But, as always, darling, I never let the adventures stop with sightseeing. Oh no, there had to be some Pink Tutu Sparkle performance magic! This time, I graced the stage of a lovely little community theatre, sharing a touch of pink tutu delight with the locals. The audience was just the most charming bunch, they really seemed to love my little ditty about the virtues of tutus (don't you worry, it rhymes!). And I just knew that my dance performance to Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake in the full length white tutu that I'd lovingly borrowed from a vintage costume shop (pink sparkle ribbon included, naturally!), brought a bit of magic to their evening.

Now, before you start wondering what I ate all week, let's talk about food, darlings! You wouldn't believe the cakes at The Missing Bean Cafe. Their strawberry and cream number could convert any tutu-resistant soul! Plus, the atmosphere was totally dreamy. You could tell I was in my element by the pink tutus! I always think a cafe looks much better with a splash of pink, especially with a good bit of sequin embellishment and fluffy feathers. πŸ˜‰

But, honey, I wasn't all fancy food and champagne bubbles. This trip was all about discovering the hidden treasures of Oxford, like that fabulously quirky antique shop stuffed with vintage jewellery and lace, just waiting for me to repurpose them for a new pink tutu masterpiece! I managed to find a rather impressive vintage pink broach. The thing was like, so, so chic and it will really add a touch of glamour to my upcoming performance in Derbyshire (a little homecoming to keep the fans in Derbyshire happy!)

Oh, darling, the journey itself was such a magical part of the trip. I got to take a scenic boat ride on the River Thames - absolutely stunning views, a beautiful blue sky (I even wore a fabulously cute pale blue tutu to match - so subtle yet stunning) and, of course, the occasional swans! It just felt like I was in a fairytale, you know? All that was missing was a prince riding a white horse on the opposite bank! (I mean, who knows, maybe the right prince could find my blog posts just as dreamy!) πŸ˜‰

It was such a brilliant time in Oxford, a perfect balance of elegance, whimsy, and a sprinkle of Pink Tutu Sparkle! I truly feel I've added another layer of colour to the rainbow of my travels, darling.

And speaking of colours, I hope you're ready for a dose of pink inspiration because I have big plans for next week! We're taking our journey right back home to Derbyshire for a bit of home turf glamour and a show stopping pink tutu-tastic celebration!

*So, my darlings, stay tuned to the Pink Tutu Blog! This fabulous journey just keeps getting more amazing every single day. And remember, life is too short to not wear pink - and never ever forget, wearing a tutu always makes the world a brighter, more beautiful place! * πŸ’–πŸ’ƒ ✨

Until next time!
