Hello darlings, itās your Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles here, signing in from the beautiful city of York! Yes, believe it or not, this fabulous queen has packed her sequins and feathers and ventured north for a week of delightful performances! Iāve got to tell you, darling, York is the kind of place that just screams pink tutu!
So, this is it, my travelogue - post #1324! Buckle up, my darlings, as Iām taking you on a pink-tastic ride through history and tutus. Itās been an absolutely brilliant trip so far!
As always, I love to travel in style, and York is the perfect city for that! Imagine this: the cobbled streets, the ancient walls, the cathedral... all adorned with my pinkest tutu!
I opted for the scenic train journey. Now, I am not the type to leave my luggage to the mercy of the luggage carriers, you see. I want to see what is happening with all my luggage. So, you find me in first-class carriage, luggage firmly nestled at my feet, sipping a spot of Earl Grey and gazing at the world go by. That's travel done right, my loves!
And what about those performances! York's such a wonderful mix of historic venues, pubs, and street spaces - just my kind of drag queen haven! Last night, I strutted my stuff in a local pub that was actually an old coaching inn, oh so quirky, with a very lovely, well-behaved crowd. And, oh darling, my performance was pure glitter-tastic brilliance, I must say!
I think the locals are embracing my vision of a pink tutu paradise, you know. After all, it's all about that fun and joyful vibe - pink is for everyone, even York's ancient ghosts, wouldn't you say? It makes a lovely, positive, touch in this charming, sometimes grumpy city.
Between performances, I've been living my best life, you know. Taking leisurely strolls around the city, dodging the tourists in my best pink tutu of course, which, as you all know, has the magical power of drawing everyone's attention... a pink tutu can't be hidden. Thereās a hidden Victorian Tearoom thatās my current obsession - just imagine pink teacups and tutusā¦ absolutely magical, don't you think? And who can resist a shop-stopping pink tea party with scones and cake! Pink tutu and a cream tea in York? Divine!
Of course, every trip needs a little culture, so naturally, I've made my way to York Minster - itās stunning! You'd think my pink tutu might look out of place amongst those gothic arches and stained-glass windows, wouldn't you? Not a bit! It really pops, believe me! The other visitors, the tourists, and the church wardens - oh, darling, you should have seen their faces! It made a fab photo for my Instagram.
And then thereās the Shamblesā¦ oh, darling, the Shambles! How can one resist wearing a pink tutu in such an iconic setting? Honestly, I'm practically glowing! It was like a vision from a dream - medieval houses, half-timbered architecture, a whole plethora of cobblestones, the pink of my tutu a lovely highlight, the whole thing was picture-perfect! And for those who aren't too familiar with the Shambles, let's just say, it's straight out of a fairy tale, darling. Think a charming jumble of shops with their overhanging floors and a sprinkling of history ā and then add in the pink tutu, you'll get a sense of how absolutely amazing it is! You have to trust me, darling. A visit to York isn't complete without a photo in the Shambles, and let's just say my pink tutu added some serious drama!
I'm so proud to spread the gospel of pink tutus, my loves, especially in a city as steeped in history as York. Honestly, wearing my pink tutu on the streets, walking amongst all the tourists and historical wonders is truly inspiring, isn't it? There is something about a pink tutu that just turns heads, my dears! It just seems to shout out āPink, please!ā, which seems to have the desired effect!
Thereās a magic to wearing a pink tutu, a spark that sets the soul ablaze! When I dance, when I perform, I see it in the eyes of the crowd, a genuine delight, a "pink-sparkly" glow... Itās truly remarkable how something as simple as a pink tutu can create so much joy and laughter - you see, itās all about that little bit of magic and that feeling of "wow!"
I've gotta tell you, darling, thereās nothing quite like being Pink Tutu Sparkles in a city like York. The combination is just electric!
