This Pink Tutu Queen is venturing further afield than ever before, and guess what? I’m travelling by train! Who needs those stuffy airplanes when you can be chugging through the beautiful countryside, admiring the passing scenery, and letting your imagination take flight?
But let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. Why am I in Neath? Well, I had to share some of my fabulousness with these wonderful folks, of course! Neath has always been a town that sparks my imagination, so you know I had to pay it a visit. And it was so worth the journey! The locals have been absolutely smitten with my pink tutu extravaganza. Honestly, I had people stopping me in the streets just to admire my latest masterpiece - a sparkly, voluminous, fuchsia creation adorned with shimmering feathers, courtesy of my dear friend and costume extraordinaire, Daphne Darling.
The highlight of my visit? Well, where do I even begin? A magnificent ballet performance, that’s what! A group of young aspiring ballerinas put on the most captivating show. I swear, I could have watched those little angels twirling and leaping across the stage for hours! They were like miniature ballerinas straight out of a storybook, and they filled my heart with so much joy. My love for ballet knows no bounds, you see, and those little darlings reminded me of how magical the world of dance truly is.
Oh, and you just have to know about the little tearoom I stumbled upon, perched in a quiet corner of the town centre. Picture this: a quaint little cottage with white lace curtains, overflowing flower boxes, and an aroma of freshly baked cakes that was just divine. It felt like stepping straight out of a whimsical novel! I indulged in a decadent slice of raspberry cheesecake and a pot of fragrant Earl Grey tea – a quintessential British experience that truly warmed my soul.
But Neath wasn't all pink tutus and sugary treats, you see! My arrival also sparked a flurry of creativity in the local community. Turns out, there's a whole bunch of passionate artists hidden away in this charming town! They're painting, drawing, creating beautiful things, just waiting to burst out and share their talent with the world. It was truly inspiring to witness this outpouring of creativity, and I just had to throw my pink tutu magic into the mix!
You know, one of my favourite things about being Pink Tutu Sparkles is getting to meet all these amazing people from all walks of life. We talk, we share stories, and we discover that even in the most unexpected places, there’s a hidden community waiting to embrace the power of sparkle!
I was so lucky to meet a wonderful group of theatre enthusiasts, who are planning a series of local productions – everything from classic musicals to Shakespearean dramas. Can you imagine how fabulous it would be to see Romeo and Juliet on stage with a pink tutu-clad Juliet?! It’s an image that has been playing in my mind ever since!
And before I leave Neath, I just have to share one more experience that touched my heart: I visited the local market, filled with stalls overflowing with colourful fruits, fragrant herbs, and delicious local produce. One stall in particular caught my eye – a small, humble table overflowing with beautifully crafted homemade crafts. I ended up purchasing a handcrafted beaded necklace – a delicate work of art that captured the essence of Neath itself: vibrant, whimsical, and utterly charming.
So, Neath, you have left a permanent imprint on my heart! A big, sparkly, pink tutu-sized imprint.
Now, I'm back on that magical railway journey, whisked away to the next exciting stop on my adventures.

And yes, you might be surprised to learn that Alex became a tutu-loving queen by accident, a little bit of fate, you might say! You see, Alex is a passionate ballet fan. From childhood ballet classes to the breathtaking performances that grace the Royal Opera House, ballet has always held a special place in Alex’s heart. While studying for his science degree, Alex was in the university ballet club, and to raise funds for a local charity they hosted a tutu night. It was a bit of fun, everyone wore tutus. As they say, the rest is history. Alex fell head over heels, both with the tutu and with the feeling of expressing himself through the magic of performance. And so began the journey of Pink Tutu Sparkles.
By night, Alex steps into the spotlight, his dazzling pink tutus transporting audiences to a world of glitz, glamour, and pure joyous entertainment.
