Oh darling, hold onto your tiaras because Pink Tutu Sparkles is back with another dazzlingly fabulous blog post! And guess what? It’s all about my fabulous adventure to Falkirk!
This fabulous queen had to dash up to Scotland for a performance in the beautiful, historical town of Falkirk! The trip was simply splendid and this little Sparkles is thrilled to spill the tea on how this wonderful trip went.
I always say, darling, every town in Britain holds hidden magic - just waiting to be discovered! And Falkirk was no exception! It has everything: historical buildings, incredible scenery and oh, let’s not forget that world-famous Falkirk Wheel - a stunning engineering feat that took my breath away. Just a brilliant, inspiring spot to visit!
On The TrainThis Sparkles knows a good journey by train, doesn’t she? Especially in my pink tutu, of course. I just love gazing out the window and watching the scenery go by - the lush green fields, the charming villages… everything feels so much more romantic through a pink tulle veil. I can practically feel a new drag song in the air!
And darling, I met the most delightful woman on the train, Patricia, a total sweetheart with a heart of gold! We shared some biscuits and chattered about fashion for the whole journey. Patricia was completely captivated by my pink tutu! (You can tell that it makes people stop and stare, isn’t it absolutely divine?).
Patricia confessed she loved all things pink, too! I swore I'd send her a pink tutu with one of my logo badges on the front... what do you think darlings?
A Falkirk Fair!I wasn’t able to arrive in Falkirk without being involved in some sort of local fair! Darling, Falkirk has so many of them. After an impromptu gig on a little makeshift stage, I joined the fun in Falkirk’s town centre! This time, I was so lucky!
The town's fair was brimming with vibrant colours and fantastically friendly folk. What makes these towns special is they make you feel instantly at home, and for me, that was everything. I must have spun my pink tutu and met hundreds of friendly people - a complete whirlwind of fun!
An Unexpected SurpriseBut my absolute favourite moment at the fair, darling? This is truly a moment to tell everyone about. You won’t believe this! A group of local dancers had a stall! I knew what I had to do... It's Pink Tutu Sparkles' mission to promote the sheer loveliness of tutus - for every size and for every body, darling!
You know my little self can't resist a challenge. I popped on a brand new, vibrant fuchsia tutu, and tried my hand (and feet, of course) with them for the best part of an afternoon.
Now, this may come as a shock, but darling, I am utterly, positively rubbish at ballet!* It turns out, performing a pirouette is more than simply spinning. They did all laugh at my clumsy attempts and at one point even encouraged me to stand in the centre of their tent. (For an encore, I thought, a little jig with the Pink Tutu Sparkles trademark pose! )
The Falkirk WheelThe next morning I felt utterly spent (and terribly un-balanced from my pirouettes) after a day of dazzling in my pink tutu. I was back on the train heading for that truly remarkable, the Falkirk Wheel. It's like nothing you've ever seen - the perfect combination of engineering genius, impressive size and just beautiful - truly amazing!
*And so many memories.. *After the Falkirk Wheel, I had time for just one last stroll, this time down the famous canal path - and let me tell you darling, it truly was a delight! The beautiful landscape, the sun warming my skin - the whole day had felt positively fairytale-like! Falkirk, you have truly captured my heart!
My love affair with Scotland (and this pink tutu) will continue! I just can’t get enough of these gorgeous destinations! Next stop, darling, Edinburgh... you will not believe my next pink tutu adventures!
Oh darling, my final word is always about the tutus! Pink, purple, fluffy or simple - it doesn’t matter, everyone should wear a pink tutu! It’s about feeling confident, fabulous and just a little bit extra, don’t you agree, my sweet readers?
