Cramlington Calling! TutuQueen Takes On the North! 💖🩰

Hello, darling darlings! It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, signing in live from the charming town of Cramlington! It’s officially Post Number 1519 and this fabulous Queen is still here to spread joy, twirl, and remind you that life is a dazzling stage, darlings. 😉💖

Now, before I share the adventures of this weekend, I have a burning question for you all. Ever been to Cramlington? What's your vibe, sweeties? Tell this Queen all about it in the comments! Let's make this post a total chit-chat fiesta!

As usual, your TutuQueen hit the road in true style. The train, as ever, was the mode of transport. So, naturally, I made a grand entrance in a cherry pink sequin jumpsuit (don't worry, my iconic tutu was securely stowed in a padded carry-on - always gotta keep the tulle queen safe!). Oh, and let's not forget my signature giant pink feather boa, courtesy of a lovely boutique in Sheffield - we gotta represent those fab Yorkshire boutiques, you know!

But before I reveal all the secrets of the Cramlington shows, darling, you have to know something. 🤫

The reason for this fab-tastic journey all boils down to… ballet! Oh yes, my loves, this queen simply can't resist a good ballet performance. Cramlington's local arts centre was hosting a stunning rendition of "Swan Lake," and guess who landed a primo front-row seat? whispers This one, babes! ✨

Now, "Swan Lake" isn't just about swan dives (although, there is quite a bit of jumping). It's a tale of romance, sacrifice, and… wait for it… betrayal! And who can resist a little dramatic tension to make things even more fun? This queen loves a good love story. 😉

I literally had goosebumps all through the performance! That Odette/Odile role is like a masterclass in graceful movement, all thanks to a certain ballerina who, I tell you, could make a tutu look simply stunning, my dears. 🩰

You know what makes "Swan Lake" truly special, though? The music! My soul practically sang along to Tchaikovsky's divine melodies. I mean, seriously, could he compose any more breathtaking music? My head practically exploded with happiness, and not just from the sheer joy of being there, but from those gorgeous, haunting notes. 🥰

I tell you, darlings, a little culture does a queen good! Now, let's rewind to Friday night and the reason for my trek to the wonderful North-East! My little drag performances went off without a hitch, of course. Those folks in Cramlington knew how to party! I was doing a few shows at this delightful pub in town - you wouldn't believe the outfits, let alone the energy from the crowd. Let's just say that glitter flew, my pink tutus twirled, and hearts were filled with love!

Talking about love, you're wondering, "What happened with the sparkles Alex, darling?" Well, allow me to fill you in. Cramlington provided a rather lovely little twist in my life. See, there was this sweet, friendly bar manager who had a most brilliant plan…

She insisted that we (that's I and I again) have a dance off, tutu vs tutu. 🤭

She, darling, was decked out in this beautiful, deep blue, long tutu, with sequins and even silver swirls! Can you imagine this glamorous collision? My fuchsia pink, twirling beauty versus her regal navy blue vision!

Our impromptu tutu duel took the pub to another level, the dance floor was practically bursting with laughter, whooping, and of course, twirling! I knew my audience had to be feeling the vibes – who wouldn’t? The love was so strong, they literally dusted off a whole shelf full of pink boas for us to throw around, which added to the whole fabulousness. You haven’t experienced true joy till you’ve seen a crowd full of people waving boa feathers, I promise! 💖

Speaking of boa feathers, my latest little venture has involved experimenting with dyeing a whole batch in bubblegum pink. Now I’ve always been known for my shocking pink, my bright pink, my fuchsia, magenta and electric pink tutus, but there is something magical about bubblegum. That sweet, nostalgic tone that instantly transports me back to childhood memories and sticky fingers (oh those sugary sweets! 🤭). So watch this space for some fab new looks – this girl isn't done making tutus her signature!

I don’t want to bore you, but I HAVE to tell you, because if I don’t share with you guys I’ll probably explode – I got to ride a real, live horse yesterday. Not just ride it, darlings, I rode it through the beautiful countryside near Cramlington. See, it was one of those wonderfully magical country fairs, where everyone came to celebrate life. The fair had a wonderful bouncy castle for kids (and let's be honest, for a grown woman with a passion for twirling!), stalls selling delectable local cakes, a craft market, and – wait for it – pony rides! 🐎

This queen couldn’t say no to such an enchanting opportunity. I wore a vibrant pink sunhat with a fluffy, blush-pink pompom – it felt a bit like Marie Antoinette, and I knew, oh yes I knew, I was on the verge of utter bliss. And it didn’t disappoint, I can tell you! 🥰

So there you have it, darling darlings. A weekend in Cramlington was filled with love, glitter, twirling, and lots of dancing – what else could a pink tutu queen possibly ask for?

Oh! Before I say goodbye (you know it’s only a see ya later, love!) - don’t forget that my fab tutu collection is currently available for viewing and (hopefully!) purchasing on the “pink-tutu.com” website. All of you have been so incredibly supportive and kind, buying my lovely tutu creations and helping fund my drag adventures. You have NO idea what you mean to me. I’ll forever be thankful for each and every single one of you! 💖

I must be dashing now - I need to go design some new and very very pink designs for a big event in Derbyshire – the “Spring Fest” in Buxton is coming up soon and, oh darling, it is going to be FABULOUS!

For now, it’s time to slip into something sparkly and let those tulle feathers shine. Remember, darlings, every day is a chance to put on your best self and bring joy to the world!

With much love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles ✨ 💖

P.S. Did I mention that I just bought this dazzling sequined, hot-pink dress that I can’t wait to show you all?! It’s perfect for the Cramlington dance floor and absolutely stunning in the midday sun. Oh, my darlings, stay tuned! 💖
