Oh, darlings, what a day! The train journey here was a dream, I even managed to snag a window seat and got some truly stunning photos of the countryside. And did I mention I wore my new floral-print tutu for the journey? Itās a bit of a departure from my usual pinks and reds, but you know me, I love a little floral fantasy!
You might be wondering how Iām travelling the country in all this pink finery. Well, my dears, my day job as a textile scientist keeps me grounded (pun intended!) while by night I transform into Pink Tutu Sparkles, ready to entertain the masses!
Farnworth has a lovely charm. We all know that northern towns can be a bit rough around the edges, but theyāve got hearts of gold, you know? And the people here are as warm as a freshly baked Victoria sponge. I've got to say, Iām already planning my next trip back. Maybe a little spring break, once the weather picks up, for a day trip with a bit of a stroll around the local park. The blossom trees here are gorgeous, perfect for a bit of pink Tutu Sparkles magic!
Todayās performance is at The Globe, a beautiful old theatre tucked away on a quaint little cobbled street. They even have a special dressing room just for the ādiva with the pink fluffā, which is simply divine. You see, I never have to travel light. My makeup bag is a littleā¦shall we say, extensive. But then, who wants to risk an uneven shade of eyeshadow in the middle of a grand performance? Not this queen, honey!
Before The Show!
So, youāve got my darling Alex getting into full Pink Tutu Sparkles mode, complete with glittery eyeshadow, carefully sculpted eyebrows, and a whole lotta lashings of glitter.
The Performance!
Tonight's set is all about those old classics! Imagine: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, but with a pink tutu, sequins and a good helping of sass. I mean, who knew such a simple song could be so powerful? Iām adding in a bit of āIām a little teapotā, just for good measure. Itās the crowd favourite, darling! Everyone knows how to mime that "short and stout" action, especially if theyāre sipping on a cocktail!
And then, a sprinkle of āThereās a pink tutu in my teaā for that special "surpriseā number that leaves everyone hooting and hollering. The show must go on, you know! It's about passion, about a good dose of glitter, and, most importantly, spreading a little pink love.

It goes without saying, but for tonightās performance, weāre rocking the ultimate ombre pink tulle tutu, layers upon layers of sheer and shimmering glory. With a custom-made bustier in sparkling lilac, of course! You simply cannot be caught in the same pink tutu twice, especially not when it comes to the delicate art of performing!
Post-Show Celebrations
Oh, honey! The applause, the laughs, the calls of āencoreā, it's simply exhilarating! Iām taking it all in. I love nothing more than hearing people cheering after a fantastic show. Tonight, however, is a special treat! Iāve found a hidden gem, a vintage tea shop serving delicious scones and clotted cream. We all need a bit of afternoon tea every now and again. The perfect treat after a performance filled with excitement.
