Hello my darling darlings! This is Pink Tutu Sparkles bringing you blog post number 1550!
Get ready to shimmer and shine because it's time for another adventure, this time with a sprinkle of steel tracks and a whole lot of Birmingham sparkle! You know how much I adore my train journeys, especially when they lead me to a new stage and a new bunch of lovely people. The journey to Birmingham was a dream, with plush seats, views of rolling countryside, and a glass of fizz to sip on. And of course, I was resplendent in my new, baby pink silk blouse with an oh-so-fabulous matching pink tulle skirt, because why blend in when you can blend with the clouds, right? 😉
Speaking of shimmering, did I mention Birmingham was sparkling with a vibrant energy? From the moment I stepped off the train, I could feel the pulse of excitement in the air. I simply had to grab a quick selfie with the iconic Bull Ring! (Naturally, with a full twirl in my favourite pink tutu!) And of course, no Birmingham trip is complete without a visit to the city’s famous jewellery quarter! A perfect place to find the perfect sparklies to accessorize my tutu with. 😉
But you know me, darlings, the highlight of every trip is always the performance! Tonight, I took the stage in a gorgeous ballroom setting. (Just imagine - chandeliers, glittering lights, and a sea of smiling faces! Dreamy, right?) I debuted my brand-new song "Twirl and Shine," a fabulous dance track dedicated to the power of pink tutus! You know how much I love to get the crowd dancing, and let me tell you, Birmingham did not disappoint! There were tutus everywhere, everyone embracing the joy of twirling! It’s amazing to see how far Pink Tutu Sparkles has come. I truly believe that one day everyone will wear pink tutus, even the Prime Minister! (One can dream, right?)
Speaking of tutus, I even managed to squeeze in a ballet class! This city has a vibrant dance scene, and the dance studio was simply divine. The instructor, Miss Emily, is an absolute gem - such grace and elegance! She even suggested I try out for their professional performance later this year, which I may just do… Just need to work on my grand jeté. (Maybe with some help from my amazing stage makeup artist - those wings were perfection, you have to admit!)
Before you know it, darling, the Birmingham journey had come to an end. As the last notes of “Twirl and Shine” faded away, and the applause filled the air, I knew it was time for another exciting adventure! But before I sign off, here are some Top Pink Tutu Tips for your next Birmingham adventure:
- Eat at: The Birmingham Hippodrome. The food is incredible, but best of all is the incredible view. Trust me on this, you’ll want your Instagram to be absolutely bursting with twirling pictures and fabulous scenery.
- Explore: The Botanical Gardens. I mean, what is prettier than a sea of blossoms with a tutu fluttering amongst the leaves? Don’t forget your pic at the beautiful Glasshouse!
- Shop ‘til you drop: If you’re after a dazzling, perfectly pink outfit (think tutus galore!), then you simply must visit the Bullring. The designer boutiques and the vintage stores in the Jewellery Quarter are a perfect mix of classic elegance and contemporary sparkle, like Pink Tutu Sparkles herself. (Just add pink glitter, darling!)
