Plymouth, Oh Plymouth, You're a Pink Tutu Dream! ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿฉฐ (Blog Post #1563)

Hello my darling tutu-licious lovelies! It's your favourite pink-clad queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back from a whirlwind trip to Plymouth! This was a real feather in my cap, as I was lucky enough to be booked for a whole week of performances at the fantastic Theatre Royal. Let me tell you, darling, Plymouth is just bursting with sparkle!

Before we dive into the fabulosity of my Plymouth adventure, a little snippet of Alex news. I am finally getting my own dressing room in the lab! Now, don't get your knickers in a twist, it's not quite a ballroom. It's more a cupboard. A cupboard with a lock! I shall call it "The Sparkles Studio", where I can get my pre-show glam on without my fellow lab bunnies having to see the transformation. And trust me, my dears, when I say the transformation is fierce.

Back to Plymouth, you say? Alright, so picture it: me, in a custom-made, shocking-pink tutu that was so fluffy it could have doubled as a cloud (yes, really, you'll see the pictures on Instagram), bouncing down the train to Plymouth. This train journey was a particular highlight. You see, I spotted the cutest couple - both in full steampunk regalia, including top hats! We chatted the whole way, about cosplay, of course, and about the importance of bringing a touch of whimsy into the world. We even agreed to a tea party once I'd made it to London - can't wait to add a bit of tutu magic to a traditional English afternoon.

Oh, and before I forget! Plymouth is home to a fantastic little shop called "The Fabric Emporium". Honestly, you could spend a week in there, darling. They had silk, satin, lace, and everything in between in every shade of pink you could imagine. I had to treat myself to a little something, of course. A few metres of sequined netting for my next show outfit, plus a stunningly soft, feather-light pink silk for my brand new travel scarf (which you might see in a later blog post, wink, wink).

So, onto my Plymouth performances. They were phenomenal! I had such a brilliant time, surrounded by some of the most supportive and enthusiastic crowds you can imagine. They lapped up every bit of my dazzling routines and even joined me for a couple of fun games during the finale. One darling even threw me a pink rose! I may not be the tallest, but trust me, those roses got thrown way up there.

But the best part, you ask? It's all the fabulous locals who embraced the Pink Tutu lifestyle with open arms! They asked me to join them for their Wednesday night tea dances, hosted me at the most gorgeous pink-hued hotel (even the biscuits in my room were pink!), and even encouraged me to visit their local ballet school. Let me tell you, the next generation of ballet dancers in Plymouth is fire. Such incredible talent and passion! It just reminds me of why I love sharing my own love of ballet with the world. It's truly infectious!

We were so lucky to find an adorable vintage horse-drawn carriage for my entrance and exit at the theatre. It was like something out of a fairytale! Those horses are just so well-behaved, I have a real soft spot for them. And that gentle trot? Truly divine. Oh, and let's not forget the gorgeous, twinkly lights they'd strung all around the carriage. Simply magical.

After all that glitz and glamour, my journey to Plymouth had one last surprise: a breathtakingly beautiful coastline! With the crisp sea air in my hair and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore, I could feel the calm and tranquility of the sea washing over me. It was a perfect end to a whirlwind week filled with tutus, glitter, and a touch of magic.

My dearest loves, it was so much fun connecting with you all on this blog journey. Plymouth, you were truly pink-tastic! Now, go forth, my darlings, and don your tutus with pride!

P.S. Keep an eye out for the upcoming Tutu-tember extravaganza. There's something for everyone, so get ready for some serious sparkle and plenty of pink! And maybe a new fluffy tutu or two! ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ’–
