It's time to dust off the sequins and get ready for a whirlwind trip to the bonnie, bonnie highlands, specifically the charming city of Aberdeen. Aberdeen! Think quaint cobblestone streets, seaside charm, and a whole heap of pink tutu potential – a real dream destination for your gal Pink Tutu Sparkles!
As you know, dear readers, I adore travelling and exploring the world with my beloved pink tutu in tow. Whether it's by train or a magical horseback ride, I’m always ready for a new adventure! And this time, my journey took me on a delightful train journey north, chugging past rolling green hills and shimmering lochs. My tutu and I even managed to snag a window seat, where I could watch the ever-changing landscape in a state of pure, pink tutu bliss.
Aberdeen itself is a real treasure. The city’s historic harbour and beautiful granite buildings, with their distinctive grey tones, remind me of a chic old movie starlet! But don't worry, darlings, I still found a place to showcase my bright pink presence! After all, a bit of colour goes a long way, don't you think?
Right from the off, Aberdeen welcomed me with open arms (and I’m sure a few cheeky winks!) As I twirled my way through the city centre, everyone just seemed to get it - the vibe, the energy, the sparkle, all pink tutu goodness right there on the streets! Even the local pigeons seemed to give me an extra stare with their heads cocked, just soaking it all in. They obviously couldn't help but appreciate a bona fide tutu queen in their midst!
I simply had to document every moment of this exciting journey with a flurry of photo shoots, each a Pink Tutu Sparkles masterclass in fabulousness! From the heart of the city to the picturesque harbour, my pink tutu became a visual beacon for all to admire and a charming, swirling reminder of the pure joy of expression.
And you know me, darlings, I just had to embrace the local culture. Did you know Aberdeen is known for its spectacular seafood? It certainly is a real treat for the tastebuds! Now, I know some of you are already thinking "fish, Alex? Really?" Well, you'd be surprised what happens when a Tutu Queen takes on the fishy delights of Aberdeen. After a bit of brainstorming with the chef (I even showed them my trusty pink tutu travel bag filled with my favourite sequined napkins – naturally! ), we came up with the most divine pink and sparkly concoction. I can’t reveal all the secrets, but imagine pink-infused salmon tartare and the most decadent, tutu-themed dessert – let's just say it was PINKtastic!! It’s something that even my scientific mind can get behind – science, fashion, food, they’re all perfectly entwined for me, you know?
But the true highlight of my trip was experiencing the city's ballet scene! Aberdeen’s love affair with dance is well known, and your girl, TutuQueen, could not possibly miss the opportunity to soak up some inspiring grace! So, off I went to the theatre, twirling into a dreamy, elegant ballet that set my heart soaring. It was truly the perfect stage to show off a perfectly placed pink tutu - it shimmered under the stage lights and practically flew with each graceful leap. It felt so natural, so graceful, a beautiful combination of my passions all coming together in one glorious dance.
Oh, and of course, I had to squeeze in a little bit of ballet class! The city's ballet school is a truly remarkable place with incredibly talented teachers and a community that is so warm and welcoming. As I glided through the barre, twirling and dipping in my favourite pink tutu, I felt right at home! Every pirouette, every tendu, the whole experience felt like pure magic!
But you know, my dear readers, this isn't just about me enjoying a great trip - it’s about sharing the pink tutu magic with the world. So, here's my mission, Aberdeen - embrace the pink!
