Hello darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, reporting live from sunny Slough! This glamorous gal is on the road again, and this time, Iâm bringing a whole lotta pink sparkle to the Thames Valley. This is post number 1592 on my website www.pink-tutu.com â I know, I know, you're all probably thinking "how does she manage to write so much?". Well, I just can't help myself - there's so much to tell you about my latest adventures, my darling TutuQueens!
Now, you all know I have a bit of a thing for pink tutus - who doesnât?! They are simply magical. And that magical feeling took me all the way to Slough this week, my lovelies. I arrived in style, of course - I mean, when you're a Pink Tutu queen, a first-class train ticket is the only way to travel! My travel companions for this trip? My trusty ballet bag (stuffed with enough pink sparkly gear to open a boutique), and my dear friend Beatrice - a lovely lady who has an impressive collection of vintage fascinators and shares my love of all things sparkly.
Now, letâs talk about Slough, shall we? This place has so much more going for it than its rather infamous name! Youâll find lovely parks, a delightful high street, and some rather chic little tea rooms (where I had the best cream tea â and of course I matched the decor with a pink tutu!). I love exploring new places, especially those hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
Oh, my darlings, letâs be honest â a trip to Slough wouldnât be complete without a visit to the theatre! We went to see âA Midsummer Nightâs Dreamâ â the actors were phenomenal, but what really caught my eye were the costumes! Imagine, delicate fabric and dazzling colors in a world of magic. It really got me thinking - itâs a bit like the power of pink tutus, don't you think?
While in Slough, I discovered a truly charming little independent boutique overflowing with beautiful vintage garments. Oh, the joy! My little heart was soaring. Itâs just impossible for a Pink Tutu Sparkles to walk by a shop that calls to her with its sparkle and glamour â so naturally, I went inside and spent a couple of hours digging around, adding a few special finds to my already vast and overflowing wardrobe!
My next stop? A little ballet school where I joined a beginnerâs class - because why not? I'm a queen who loves to dance! (Oh, and the other students all looked absolutely stunning, so I couldn't help myself and I got some new Instagram content of my glorious outfit against the studioâs mirror)
My dear darlings, I believe I must share with you a secret thatâs been lurking in my heart since I arrived in Slough: the town actually has a secret passion for ballet! They have a ballet class at the local community center, where you can learn from the experts in this fabulous art! Who would have known, eh?
Before leaving Slough, I just had to add some magic to this delightful town. As a Pink Tutu Sparkles, it is my duty to spread the gospel of glitter and pink - so naturally, I held an impromptu âWear a Pink Tutuâ dance session in the town square! Everyone was laughing and twirling â even the squirrels had a bit of fun!
Slough â I am in awe of your spirit! This is definitely a place I would return to again, in a pink tutu, of course!
Oh, before I forget! Just to prove that I can keep things even more glam, I took a lovely horse-drawn carriage to the station on my way home! What better way to bring a touch of fairtale glamour to my day, my darlings?!

Thursday: Onward to Slough!: Slough was calling - and you know I can never resist the call of adventure! I grabbed my sparkly bags, my vintage handbag (it's got enough room to house my own personal rainbow, darlings!) and headed out to the train station. My outfit? Well, I think it deserves a post on its own, so get those fingers clicking.
