Remember last week when I mentioned a certain someone in my DMs suggested a train journey? Well, let's just say Southall was calling my name, and I had to answer! I've been wanting to explore this corner of London for ages, and you know what? It was just magnifique! A real treasure trove for a pink tutu queen like myself!
Packing my fabulous pink carry-on case for this adventure was like creating a piece of art! Let me tell you, my fellow tutu lovers, the vibrant hues of the vintage silk scarf I unearthed from my mum's collection were begging to be featured with my signature pink tutu and dazzling sequined crop top! My trusty suitcase was a miracle of organisation and sparkle - lipstick, lip gloss, mascara, foundation, blush, a plethora of bobby pins, feather boas, rhinestones galore - it was practically a travelling beauty parlour. And of course, I can never forget my comfy dancing shoes, the ultimate travel must-have for a queen on the go! 💅
You might be wondering how a girl like me, a proper Pink Tutu Queen, finds her way across the country? Well, darling, there are several answers to that! Trains, horse-drawn carriages... even that crazy-looking vehicle I saw on the telly where you have to strap yourself in? I hear they’re the latest and greatest in getting around. Ooh, la-la! And let's not forget the most fabulous transportation of them all ...my *performing arts and my love for travel are my way of navigating this crazy, wonderful world! It’s all about embracing adventure! 🎉
But let's get back to Southall, shall we? I arrived with so much energy and a heart full of excitement, ready to ignite the night! My act was booked at the fantastically fabulous Southall Town Hall. Let me tell you, it was such a magical venue! A true embodiment of classic elegance and vintage glamour. My dazzling entrance with the most magnificent pink tutu I've ever donned, left the audience speechless, which is exactly how I like it, darlings!
My act that night was simply breathtaking (if I may say so myself! 😉). I sang, I danced, I even had a surprise ballet number that brought the house down! The Southall crowd were simply divine! So energetic, so full of love, they were dancing right along with me from the very first note! There wasn’t a single empty seat, and you could practically feel the excitement rippling through the entire building!
Speaking of exciting, my dear fellow tutu enthusiasts, let's talk about Southall itself. It was like stepping into another world and the place was bustling! We're talking about delicious smells from authentic restaurants, the vibrant colours of traditional saris, and just oodles of excitement all around. The shops were full of gorgeous textiles and fabulous finds... I just had to buy a little something for myself, you know!
Now, of course, a Pink Tutu Queen's visit isn't complete without a bit of cultural immersion. And let me tell you, Southall did not disappoint! There was a live music performance with a twist on traditional music, and let’s just say my dance moves became even more flamboyant! The air was filled with the most vibrant sounds and it felt like I'd stepped onto a stage filled with incredible stories.
Oh, darling! It's a little bit of everything. I’ve just got to mention my afternoon spent watching a beautiful ballet performance by the Southall Youth Ballet Club, I could practically feel their love for dance shining through with every move they made. Such talent, so much energy, a real inspiration to every dancing queen! And it wouldn’t be a Pink Tutu Sparkles adventure without a little visit to the local theatre for a fabulous show. The acting was exquisite! But darling, don’t just take my word for it - get yourself to Southall and see for yourself! The theatre's charm will transport you back in time - an absolute delight for any queen or king with a passion for theatre!
But you know what, dear darlings, Southall was not all about theatres and dance clubs. I always like to seek out local finds, especially for those who, like me, love a little retail therapy. One of the things that captivated my pink-tutu-loving heart? This magical vintage shop tucked away on a quiet side street. Just the sort of hidden treasure I live for. You can only imagine how delighted I was when I stumbled upon a pair of shimmering vintage shoes with the perfect shade of pink that would complete my Southall trip - I mean, how often does this happen! 💖
So there you have it, darling! Another Pink Tutu adventure comes to a fabulous close. Southall truly lived up to all my expectations, offering an electrifying mix of music, dancing, art, history and just plain fun. And I simply cannot resist mentioning the food - so delicious and truly mouthwatering. From succulent curries to aromatic kebabs, each meal was a gastronomical delight - I know exactly where I’ll be going when I return!
Oh! I almost forgot - my travels were even more fabulous because one person took inspiration from my pink tutus! I had this little one who kept coming up to me, she had this twinkle in her eye that I think was from seeing a sparkly pink tutu queen but, hey, who knows! But imagine my delight when her parents joined the dancing party! Now that's what I call inspiring! * Because isn’t spreading pink tutu happiness *what we’re all about? I do hope it helps to inspire her own love of dressing up and embracing her unique self!
