As you know, I'm a big believer in embracing the fabulousness that life throws at you, and Stourbridge has been absolutely dripping with fabulous energy. I must say, the journey here was just as delightful as the destination. The train ride from Derbyshire, filled with sunshine and the soothing sounds of a fellow passenger's truly dramatic rendition of 'Phantom of the Opera,' put me right in the mood for a delightful adventure!
This town is definitely on the map when it comes to vibrant cultural experiences. The Stourbridge Theatre, with its grand facade, practically begged me to wear my most spectacular pink tutu. 😜 This weekend, I'll be gracing the stage there for a most wonderful event - "Tutu Tea Party" for all the little princesses and dapper dudes! You can find me fluttering amongst the fairy lights, leading everyone through a whirlwind of glitz and glitter with my "Twinkle Toes and Tutu Tales" show! Don't worry, I've brought enough pink sparkles for everyone - it's going to be absolutely divine!
Before the show, I found myself getting a bit too caught up in the whimsy of Stourbridge, falling down the rabbit hole of vintage clothing shops. (I must admit, a tutu with a lace overlay and some diamante embellishments wouldn't go amiss! ). A perfect ensemble for tonight's show, I just know it! ✨
I simply can't go to a town known for its glasswork and leave without a visit to the Glass Museum! There I found myself marveling at the intricate craftsmanship. It's truly inspiring, this meticulous artistry - and all those dazzling colours! Makes my tutu obsession look pretty tame, if I'm honest! But hey, I wouldn't want to give up the fluffy fun for anything!
Now, I wouldn't be a proper pink tutu enthusiast if I didn't mention the breathtaking beauty of the local ballet company. I caught a glimpse of their rehearsals at The Stourbridge Dance Centre and it was pure magic. Imagine the elegant swirl of tutus, the delicate footwork, the emotion in every graceful move... absolutely captivating! It reminded me that I truly love the art of ballet - it's a perfect mix of grace, strength and theatricality, just like drag, you know! 💖
As I prepare for my show tonight, my heart is filled with excitement! I can already feel the magic in the air. There's just something special about seeing the wonder on the faces of children (and adults, I'm sure you all have a little princess inside!) when they see me pirouette on stage in my most magnificent tutu. ✨
