Today I'm rocking the sunny shores of Folkestone, Kent, a place that's become a firm favourite on my pink tutu pilgrimage map! This beautiful seaside town just pulls at my heartstrings with its charming cobbled streets, bustling harbour and stunning sea views. It’s also brimming with an artsy energy that just sings to my flamboyant soul, making it the perfect backdrop for my flamboyant frocks and sparkling shenanigans!
Travelling in Style:
Now, how did I get here, you ask? Why, by the most delightful mode of transport of course! A whistle-stop journey on a beautifully appointed train carriage, my faithful chariot of choice for when I want to make a grand entrance! There's just something about the gentle rocking of the carriage, the whistle of the engine and the countryside flitting by, that brings out my inner queen!
The Inspiration:
Oh, you simply have to see my newest pink tutu! A dream dreamt up in a whirl of sequins and tulle, with a touch of that quintessential seaside magic. It’s all flowing ruffles, vibrant pink tulle and a hint of turquoise sparkle to complement the calming blues of the sea. My muse this time? A glorious summer day, the smell of salt in the air and a picture postcard seascape. Folkestone, I tell you, just oozes inspiration!
The Performance:
Speaking of inspiration, I can't wait to share with you my little theatrical masterpiece tonight! The local theatre, tucked away in a cosy little corner, is set to be my stage for a night of twirls, pirouettes and glittering good times. I’ve been practicing my routine - think vintage charm meets modern pop diva, with a touch of ballet ballet for good measure! It’ll be a fabulous cocktail of glitter, grace and good old fashioned fun!
Folkestone Finds:
Let's just say, I found a few little gems tucked away in the town’s independent boutiques. Forget high street - I live for these hidden treasures! A sparkly little something for my collection? A fluffy, feather boa that could rival the most majestic swan? You better believe I came away with my suitcase bursting with delights! Folkestone really has a way of seducing a girl with its charming shops, full of eclectic goodies just waiting to be discovered!
Foodie Delights:
No journey is complete without indulging in some delicious local delights, am I right? Today's menu featured a delightful seafood platter on the pier. Fresh, bursting with flavour and all the right shades of pink to compliment my attire. Then, for dessert, a scoop of seaside-inspired gelato – the best I’ve ever had, my darlings!
