Sutton in Ashfield, Darling! Post #1693

Oh, hello lovelies! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, fresh off the train from Derbyshire and ready to spill the tea about my adventures in the utterly delightful Sutton in Ashfield!

You see, darlings, my life is a whirlwind of sparkles and tulle. By day I'm a bona fide scientist, working in a lab, analysing fabrics (although I must confess, pink is my favourite colour, naturally!). But by night, I transform into your very own Pink Tutu Sparkles, ready to spread the joy of dance and, well, pink tutus!

My trip to Sutton in Ashfield was, shall we say, an adventure. I've never ridden a horse before, but let me tell you, nothing beats arriving in a town like Sutton in Ashfield on horseback, all while twirling in my signature pink tutu, of course! The locals, bless their cotton socks, seemed to really love my grand entrance. You should have seen the kids' faces when I dismounted!

But enough about the travel drama (even if it was delightful drama!), let's get down to business: my show! I had the absolute pleasure of performing at the Sutton in Ashfield Folk Festival. What a fabulous bunch of folks! I must say, their dancing skills put me to shame, but thankfully I had my trusty troupe of dancers, all sporting various shades of pink, ready to back me up. We really got the crowd going with our routine to “Dancing Queen" - the place was practically shaking!

The atmosphere was electric. I don’t know how those gorgeous locals keep up the energy with the kind of heat we had – they truly were troopers, though! You could tell they were proper down to earth, Sutton in Ashfield folk. I think they were particularly thrilled when I invited a few ladies onto the stage for a impromptu “Tutu Twirl Off” – pure chaos and joy, and you could tell everyone was in it just for the sheer fun of it. Honestly, it’s just lovely to see folks genuinely embracing a good time!

After the show, of course, I took to the streets to get a real taste of the town. The High Street is an absolute gem – loads of vintage shops, quaint little cafes, and a bustling market square with every kind of trinket imaginable! Now, if there’s one thing Pink Tutu Sparkles loves more than tutus, it’s a good browse around a local market!

And of course, no trip to Sutton in Ashfield would be complete without visiting the absolutely fabulous Sutton in Ashfield Museum! They have an incredible collection of local history, from fascinating artefacts to vintage fashion - I was like a kid in a candy shop, darling! The curator was delightful and, naturally, I had to pose for a few photos with my most striking pink tutu – can’t leave a good historical museum without leaving a little Pink Tutu Sparkles flair, can I?!

Now, while the pink tutus and sparkles are definitely my favourite part of any adventure, I have to say the highlight of my trip to Sutton in Ashfield was a little ballet class at the Sutton in Ashfield Community Centre. Let’s just say I was in my element! Surrounded by fellow dance enthusiasts, all embracing their inner graceful goddess, and of course, sporting their very own (mostly pink, of course!) tutus.

Seeing those aspiring dancers’ passion for ballet warmed my heart, darlings. You see, ballet is so much more than twirls and pointe shoes - it's about discipline, artistry, and above all, embracing your inner diva, and that’s what my mission is, getting everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE, to wear a pink tutu at least once in their lives!

And there you have it, darlings! Sutton in Ashfield, you were an absolute delight. From the friendly locals, the bustling streets, the lively festival, and the amazing ballet class – you stole a little piece of my heart!

Until next time, lovelies. Stay pink and sparkly!
