Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-clad queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, checking in from the utterly charming town of Middleton! As you know, I'm on a lifelong quest to make the world a more fabulous place, one pink tutu at a time. And Middleton, my dears, has definitely got me feeling sparkly and inspired.
This past weekend was just... divine! It was all thanks to my love for those exquisite floating frocks, the tutus, and those graceful, yet powerful ballerinas! Oh, and did I mention the train journey? The Middleton trip started with a delightful train journey, with the windows open, sunshine streaming in, and me, naturally, looking absolutely fabulous in my signature pink tutu. Honestly, travelling by train in a tutu is such a mood boost! It's all about embracing that inner child and bringing a touch of sparkle to the mundane.
Middleton is a little slice of heaven for tutu lovers. The town boasts a delightful, intimate theatre, a ballet studio nestled in a charming Victorian building, and even a vintage clothing shop with a whole rack dedicated to tutus!
Speaking of tutus, I couldn't resist trying on a few in the vintage shop. Let's just say I felt like a proper ballerina, poised, elegant, and utterly enchanting. They even had a beautiful pink tulle tutu with sparkling diamantes! Talk about a dream come true. The shop owner, a delightful lady called Maisie, told me about the ballet classes held at the studio just a few streets down. You could hear the graceful thump of ballet shoes against the wooden floor from the shop.
Well, darling, how could I resist? The following morning I joined a ballet class. Honestly, my lovelies, it was like stepping into another world. The studio, with its big windows and sunny atmosphere, filled with the soft whispers of tutus twirling and the gentle clinking of ballet shoes, felt like a sanctuary.
Now, I might not be a professional ballerina (although I do have my own secret tutu collection at home!), but those beautiful moves always bring me so much joy. The studio teacher, Miss Eliza, was so sweet and supportive, encouraging me to focus on the fun of the experience and letting loose, without judgement. We worked on our plie, arabesques, and pirouettes, all to the soft strains of Tchaikovsky. It was bliss.
But it wasn't just ballet that stole my heart in Middleton! Oh no, my loves, this town had me swooning from start to finish!
Middleton's theatre is a treasure trove of culture, filled with beautiful murals, an inviting bar and a wonderfully intimate setting. It is the perfect place to witness a breathtaking performance.
Now, a true pink tutu queen can never resist a little performance, and so, as a special treat, I organized a mini drag show for the locals at the theatre. You know I love sharing my passion with everyone! We danced, we sang, we laughed, and I even wore my newly-discovered pink diamond-studded tutu (yes, I had to buy it!) Honestly, it was magic.
And you know what? A few ladies, encouraged by my twinkling tutus, actually came up to me afterwards and told me about their childhood dream of becoming ballerinas, and they had brought along their daughters! Honestly, darling, those were some happy tears of pride that welled up in my eyes. The joy of seeing the excitement on their faces, just knowing I was inspiring them to chase their dreams, well, that is why I do this!
Speaking of dreams, my loves, after a weekend of sheer magic in Middleton, I was feeling extra inspired. As I took the train back, feeling content and blissful, I got an idea.
Remember my aim is to get everyone wearing a pink tutu, to get everyone embracing that sense of joy and playfulness. Well, on the journey home I sat down with a pen and paper, sketching ideas for a limited-edition tutu design, featuring the enchanting symbol of the ballet shoes, and oh darling, this one's gonna be a winner!
The colour is pink, of course, what else could it possibly be, with a beautiful pastel shimmery finish and - get ready to gasp! - a delicate touch of rose gold sequins around the hem. I'll be launching this very special edition tutu in the coming weeks. Keep your eyes peeled for the official release, you can't miss this!
