Darling, you wouldn’t believe the fabulous time I’ve just had in Chorley! Yes, that Chorley. You know, the one everyone thinks of when they hear the word 'Lancashire'? 😉 Turns out, it's got some serious sparkle!
First things first, let’s talk fashion. Now, this Pink Tutu Queen doesn't leave the house without a whole lot of oomph. I mean, when you're named after pink tutus, you've got a responsibility, darlings! And in Chorley, let me tell you, the fashion stakes are high. I spotted some incredible looks in town, and let's be honest, a good chunk of those looks were pink, so they got a big thumbs up from this Queen. 💅
After my train ride - I mean, travelling in style is a MUST - I made a beeline for the Chorley Market . Darling, I haven’t seen that many vintage shops since the days of Carnaby Street! I could have spent hours just browsing and getting some inspo. I actually managed to snag the cutest little sequined hat - a real statement piece! 👒
Now, you all know how much this Queen adores a good dance, and you just cannot talk about Chorley without mentioning the Astley Park. A magnificent Victorian masterpiece with stunning gardens! I spent ages wandering around, enjoying the flowers, then popped over to the dance floor for a little bit of impromptu ballet. Even managed to find some fellow tutu enthusiasts! 😉 Talk about finding your people, darling!
Of course, a day out in Chorley wouldn't be complete without some sustenance, right? The food scene here is amazing! We all know a girl's gotta stay fuelled. I found this adorable little cafe with pink cupcakes – honestly, you just cannot make this up! And they were delicious, I tell you! 🥰
Honestly, Chorley, you’ve swooned this Pink Tutu Queen! It's charming, it's lively, it's a bit of a hidden gem - just like this Queen. 💖 And to make things even better, I’ve got a whole evening performance ahead of me. This Pink Tutu Queen loves a bit of variety! After a trip to the hair salon and a touch-up, I'll be back in full sparkly, pink tutu, feather-boa regalia. Bring on the applause!

By day, I'm Alex, a humble scientist in a lab testing fabrics. Yes, the lab is filled with the most boring shades of white and grey – not at all suitable for a Pink Tutu Queen, eh? 😉
But you just have to follow your passion, and that's how my drag career began! I'd always had this secret desire to strut my stuff and wear fabulous clothes, but I needed a catalyst.
It was actually university that changed it all. Imagine, a scientific girl at a lab bench, yearning for glitter! Well, one day during a charity event at the university ballet club, they encouraged people to try on a tutu for a good cause. It just felt so right. And guess what? Pink! The cutest, fluffiest, most perfect pink tutu! 🩰
Well, from that moment onwards, everything changed! That's how this Pink Tutu Queen came into the world, born out of science, spun with glitter, and infused with the magic of tutus. 🥰
So there you have it. I use my day job, studying fabrics, to finance the things that truly bring this Queen to life. Now I can combine science, fashion, and sparkly fun!
