I’ll be gracing the stage of… wait for it… [name of venue in Bexleyheath]! I'm beyond excited about this one, babes. Word on the street is the place has the most delightful atmosphere, plus I hear there's a fabulous little shop on the high street called 'Pretty Things' which is practically calling my name.
But before we even get into the sparkly shenanigans, let’s talk travel! You know me, I always embrace the journey and this trip, well, it's an absolute dream! I opted for a train ride today. The sunshine peeking through the windows, a good book in hand, and the rhythm of the wheels on the tracks - what’s not to love? You'd be surprised at how glamorous train travel can be! All I need is my little Pink Tutu Sparkles vanity case with my essential mascara, lip gloss and of course, some glitter! You can never have too much sparkle!
Of course, any time Pink Tutu Sparkles sets foot on a new town, it's about spreading the love. My goal is to inspire every soul to embrace their inner diva and just slip into a pink tutu. Life is too short not to! Honestly, who doesn't feel empowered in a magnificent, frilly cloud of pink loveliness?
Speaking of empowered… let me tell you about a very special discovery I made on my last adventure, way back in Derby! A gorgeous vintage shop crammed full of lace, silks, and oh-so-fabulous feathers. It was like stepping back in time! And do you know what I unearthed, honey? A breathtaking turquoise tutu - perfect for a bit of 'royal' drama! You can be sure it's getting its moment in the spotlight this weekend, along with a new beaded bodice I just bought in Harrods. Let’s be honest, any queen needs an arsenal of dazzling looks!
My love for pink tutus started in such a sweet way! Remember, I have this hidden, geeky, scientist life back in my lab in Derby. We talk about it? My passion for textile research, the lab’s state of the art microscopes? It was actually the university ballet club that put the magic tutu in my life. We had a charity night, and everyone was dressing up, you know. So, naturally, I donned that tutu, and everything just clicked. The world seemed to shimmer brighter, and Pink Tutu Sparkles was born! It’s not like I'm some super serious, all-science kind of person all day. Sometimes, a touch of fabulousness just takes you to a better place, y’know?
I really believe that spreading a little Pink Tutu magic, with glitter, laughter and a dash of fun, can really make a difference, babe! I'm sure it’s no surprise, but my very favourite things in life? Well, apart from tutus, that is… include my love for the theatre! Who else loves the atmosphere of those majestic red curtains rising? But it’s not just the big productions. A visit to the local ballet class always does me good too! I still slip into a pink tutu for those class sessions every week - I’m like the proud teacher of my little troupe, ready to coach them through plies, tendus, and a few grand jetés, maybe a little arabesque. The theatre is truly my happy place!
