This week has been a whirlwind of travel, performance, and of course, tutu-tastic outfits! As you know, I love to travel by train, so it was an absolute delight to board the high-speed service to Dover. I couldn't resist channeling my inner ballerina as I pirouetted through the carriage in my shimmering pink tutu (it was a subtle one, of course, suitable for the commute!). I even managed to fit in a quick ballet class at a station stop in Ashford - I'm all about finding a good opportunity to move my body and spread the pink tutu love!
Reaching Dover was like stepping into a dream! The white cliffs are breathtakingly majestic, reminding me of a fantastical fairytale landscape. I'm a girl who loves a good view, and this one is certainly one for the memory banks! My favourite bit, you ask? The gorgeous, swirling seascape - it reminded me of a pink tutu, shimmering and billowing in the breeze!
Now, on to the highlight of this trip - my show at the Dover Harbour Festival! The crowd was electric, full of happy faces and a contagious energy. I wore my most dazzling, sparkly, and frankly, ridiculous pink tutu - the one with the feathered boa and sequin trim - for this occasion, and it certainly did not disappoint! You wouldn't believe how many people stopped to snap pictures and ask for photos! My message? Tutu is a state of mind! I could see it in their eyes - I had successfully spread the pink tutu love to yet another corner of the world!
In the spirit of adventure, I made a surprise visit to the nearby town of Deal. Such a cute place! I wandered the cobbled streets, trying on hats and scarves at charming independent shops. It was then that I discovered the most magical shop! Imagine, darling, a shop completely devoted to tutus! Not just any tutus, mind you, but stunning vintage tutus in every shade imaginable! I managed to resist the urge to buy them all, but I couldn't leave without treating myself to a beautiful, pale pink feather boa that matched the tutu I wore for my Dover performance perfectly!
Of course, no trip to Dover would be complete without a visit to the castle! It was utterly incredible. I could just picture all the princesses and knights in shining armor who have danced and frolicked within its walls over the years. I actually found myself doing some ballet stretches outside, inspired by the majesty of the building and the swirling seas. My aim, after all, is to find a pink tutu moment in every experience, big or small!
This trip was another wonderful chapter in my journey of pink tutu-tastic adventure. And as always, darlings, I couldn't do it without the amazing support from you, my loyal readers!
