Kendal Calling: TutuQueen in the Lake District! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿฉฐโœจ

Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, reporting live from the beautiful Lake District! This is post number 1776, and I'm practically bursting with excitement! This is my first time in Kendal, and let me tell you, it's living up to every single one of my expectations!

First, let's talk about my travel journey, because even getting here was a whimsical adventure. Instead of hopping on a train like a sensible person, I opted for something a bit more... equine! Picture this, lovelies: me, in my finest pink ensemble (think sequins, feather boas, and naturally, a voluminous tutu!), perched upon a beautiful chestnut horse. The wind whipping through my hair, the scenery rolling past, it was like something straight out of a fairy tale! The horses are so gentle, and even better, the owners let me wear a gorgeous pink saddle blanket for my journey. I just love how life throws me the most delightful curveballs!

Anyway, as soon as I arrived in Kendal, the real fun started! Now, everyone knows how much I adore the ballet, right? And this town is practically overflowing with incredible dance opportunities! My dear friends in the ballet world, the wonderful people of the Lakeland Dance Studio, took me in like their own. I even had the pleasure of joining one of their ballet classes, a beautiful class focused on developing elegance and poise. They were absolutely thrilled to have me!

Let's face it, a ballerina in a pink tutu has never looked so elegant on a stage. Or maybe on a bus stop. We all have those moments, right? Let's move on from this momentary lack of grace.

It was fantastic to get my pointe shoes back on and reconnect with that magical feeling of moving so beautifully. Of course, no tutu queen trip is complete without a little retail therapy, right? This town has some truly amazing independent boutiques. Imagine, darlings, shelves piled high with exquisite fabrics and trims, waiting to be transformed into another one of my fabulous creations!

And speaking of creating, I've been brainstorming some brand-new designs for my upcoming shows! You can expect to see some real show-stoppers coming soon!

As a seasoned theatre queen, I knew I couldn't visit Kendal without indulging in its vibrant theatre scene. Oh my, did I mention I'm absolutely in love with "The Wizard of Oz"?! Their adaptation is enchanting! Iโ€™m totally captivated by Dorothy's magical journey, and it just goes to show that no matter where you are in life, with a little courage and belief in yourself, you can conquer anything. (Of course, a beautiful pink tutu certainly helps with the confidence!)

One of the absolute highlights of my Kendal adventures was the stunning local craft fair! I can't resist a good vintage market! All those wonderful antique buttons, lace trims, and even vintage ballet tutus... a dream! And what would a trip to a fair be without indulging in some scrumptious homemade cakes, my darlings? Talk about pure delight!

To finish off this delightful trip, I spent some quality time with the local artists and craftspeople of the region, immersing myself in their creativity and enthusiasm! They've even been sharing some amazing tips on DIY crafting and repurposing, which I just have to incorporate into my own work! I think you can expect some fantastic upcycled tutus in the near future, my loves!

Speaking of upcycled and amazing, remember that old, tattered tutu from my last show in Chester? Well, a darling woman I met at the fair transformed that into a beautiful cushion for my tour bus. The material, once old pink tutu net, has now found a place in my home to create a sense of comfortable luxury. My aim in life is to have every piece of fabric I buy eventually end up on a cushion for my house or my tour bus.

I simply cannot believe how fast this incredible adventure has flown by! Kendal has truly stolen my heart. Youโ€™d think I'd be tired out from all this fun, wouldn't you? But that's the thing about being a tutu queen, darlings: the more we twirl, the more energy we have! I've got a whole lot of new ideas swirling in my head, and I just can't wait to share them all with you soon!

So until next time, keep twirling, keep shining, and don't forget: even a small act of kindness can have a big impact! (And wearing a pink tutu always brightens up your day!)

Stay fabulous, darlings,

Pink Tutu Sparkles x๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿฉฐโœจ
