Pink Power To Frome
Now, listen, Frome is a place I've had my eye on for ages. It's known for its gorgeous independent shops and bustling markets, but did you know they've also got a really thriving arts scene? And you know what I love? ARTS. I LOVE performing for the love of the art of it all, my darlings, especially in lovely towns like this.
So how did I get here? Well, the good folks of Frome put on a fantastic Autumn Festival with an amazing stage programme. Now, you can't expect the queen of pink to miss out on something like that, can you? I packed my most fabulous sequined case, chucked in some feather boas for good measure (the bigger the better!), and caught the train down! Oh, did I mention I travelled in style, on the London to Frome express, it's a real gem. Ahem... travel in style, or not at all!
Pink Dreams Made Real
Arriving in Frome was like stepping straight into a scene from my favourite vintage ballet film. It was raining a little (of course, it’s autumn after all) and the cobbled streets were glistening, giving the place a magical feel. All I needed was a horse-drawn carriage!
And guess what? I was performing on a beautiful, raised stage, right smack dab in the middle of a lively town square! It was electric! People were buzzing around, enjoying the food and the stalls, but then when I hit the stage, everyone paused. I'm telling you, the atmosphere was magic. They loved me! They LOVED Pink Tutu Sparkles!
The town's arts scene is a haven for people who want to see a little Pink Tutu Sparkles and the rest of the world is missing out!
Pink is the New Black
One of my favourite parts of being a drag queen, and something that's only become possible thanks to travelling and meeting so many people, is that I've been able to discover how much pink resonates with people. People are drawn to the positivity of it, to the pure, joyful energy it radiates. I have people of all ages tell me they're not afraid to be different or be colourful after seeing me, and the joy it gives me! My biggest dream is to see everyone, men, women, children...everyone in a pink tutu! Just think of all the fabulous photographs and stories it would create. My pink-powered energy is contagious. The fact that a science student like me, obsessed with testing fabrics for a living, now dances in sparkly tutus on a stage is truly empowering. And inspiring, don't you think?
Pink Tutu in Frome? You Bet!
I wore a specially designed tutu with glittering butterflies, and a vintage pink frock that just shimmered under the stage lights, a stunning vintage piece, a rare treasure for this occasion. Let's just say my stage makeup, darling, was flawless, I mean, you couldn't tell I was a Derbyshire girl on a train at 5 AM...
My act is a whirlwind of twirling tutus, infectious smiles and, of course, those legendary Pink Tutu Sparkles dance routines. Think classic ballerina moves with a modern twist, like those ballet school memories, but just...bigger. It was fabulous! I just love how people are captivated, they're truly in awe!
And you know what? This isn't just about being a drag queen, or about performing. It's about expressing yourself. It's about pushing your boundaries and having fun. And when you're wearing a pink tutu, trust me, fun is the name of the game! I'm so proud of what I do and that Pink Tutu Sparkles helps put a smile on everyone’s face and puts more pink into the world. The most incredible reaction for me was a sweet couple that saw the performance with their daughter. The young lady is a ballerina and came up to me to thank me for inspiring her to dance like Pink Tutu Sparkles, that truly made me feel like the Queen!
Pink to the World!
