Nottingham Nights: A Tutu-tastic Time! βœ¨πŸ’–πŸ©°

Hey sweeties, and welcome back to www.pink-tutu.com! Today marks my 1811th post, can you believe it?! The Tutu Queen's reign is strong, and I wouldn't have it any other way. πŸ˜‰πŸ’–

Now, grab your teacups, darling, and let's delve into the fabulousness of Nottingham! This city always welcomes me with open arms, and this trip was no exception. You know I simply have to be in Nottingham to see the beautiful theatre and the city's iconic Castle.

Train Travel

This time, I opted for a classic journey - the train! Nothing beats the rhythmic clickety-clack of the wheels, a good book, and a window seat with a view. My pink suitcase, adorned with sparkling sequins, stood proudly on the luggage rack, making quite the statement. It was a whirlwind journey, filled with laughter and endless chat with fellow passengers. One woman, in particular, was absolutely captivated by my pink tulle, giving me compliments on its "youthful sparkle" - bless her heart.

A Nottingham Tradition

I landed in the centre of town, the streets bustling with Christmas cheer. It was magical, with twinkling lights reflecting on shop windows and the scent of roasted nuts wafting through the air. I simply had to indulge in a cheeky, delicious hot chocolate! I know you're wondering, "Alex, what were you wearing?" Well, darling, let's just say it was a hot pink ensemble fit for a queen. I think you'd call it 'winter glam' - think fluffy pink tights, a long sparkly skirt with a tulle overlay (my favourite pink!), a fitted black crop top, and of course, a HUGE, voluminous tutu - oh, and let's not forget the sparkling tiaras and gloves!

I couldn't resist stopping at the local craft fair, and oh my, there were so many amazing treasures! I snagged a set of glittery ballet shoes with bright pink straps and a bejewelled crown-shaped mirror. I'm sure you'll be seeing these gems in a performance very soon! πŸ˜‰πŸ’–

Ballet and Sparkles

Of course, a trip to Nottingham isn't complete without a visit to the iconic Theatre Royal. This building, dripping in history and beautiful architecture, had me mesmerized even before the show. This time I went to see the Nutcracker, the tale of the little girl Clara, the magical nutcracker, and a winter wonderland of dancing snowflakes, the Nutcracker Prince and the Sugarplum Fairy. It was simply beautiful, I even got a little teary-eyed during the performance! Such passion and precision!

Later that evening, I was off to a little performance at a cosy local pub. I'm telling you, there's just something so enchanting about intimate venues, the audience close by, the laughter, and the feeling of unity - I swear the glitter practically bounced off the walls! It was a joyous affair, full of lively music and fantastic energy. You can catch my Nottingham set on my channel next week. Don't forget to give it a thumbs up!

Pink Tutu Power

There's just something about Nottingham. It reminds me that joy and wonder can be found in every corner, every street, every person you meet. And you know what I learned? The best thing about the Tutu Queen is that it's a state of mind! It’s not just about tutus, but about being happy, spreading love and good vibes. It's about celebrating your uniqueness, whether you’re a seasoned drag queen, a scientist in a lab coat, or a ballerina pirouetting across a stage. The key is to let your inner pink tutu sparkle and never stop chasing your dreams.

Until next time, my dears, remember - be brave, be bold, be Tutu Queen!

Stay fabulously fabulous!

Lots of love,
