Hello my lovelies! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, bringing you another scintillating dose of sparkly, fabulous travel tales!
Today, my darling dears, we're jet-setting all the way to Chester! This beautiful, historic city was just begging to be graced with my presence, and frankly, I was delighted to oblige!
Now, you might be wondering how I get around so much, right? Well, darling, I have my secrets! (Shhhh, don't tell anyone! But I'll whisper it in your ear...I have a bit of a penchant for travel by train and, oh, you know, a certain love for a good horse ride.)
Chester, my dear, is simply magical. Imagine, cobbled streets, half-timbered buildings, and a majestic Roman amphitheatre that simply begged for a fabulous drag queen to shimmy upon. That's right, darlings! I've taken my sparkling performances all over, and this city's beauty, just...well, it sent my creative juices bubbling!
Speaking of bubbles, have you seen the stunning pink cupcakes at The Pink Door Bakery? Now, my dears, we all know pink is a colour that simply begs to be indulged in, and these cupcakes were a masterpiece! (Plus, you can never go wrong with a bit of pink, darling.)
Of course, no trip to Chester is complete without a visit to Chester Cathedral. The sheer majesty of it, the intricate details, the gorgeous architecture...all of it just had me in awe, dear! It was the perfect setting for a impromptu photo shoot, too! Just picture me, darling, all in pink tutu and feather boa, a dazzling beacon of colour against that historical backdrop! (Yes, I did make the local news, apparently!)
And speaking of news, darling, have I told you about my exciting new project? Yes, you heard that right! This little pink-loving queen is launching a new "Wear a Tutu" campaign! It's going to be huge.
Don't worry, lovelies! It's going to be fun and fabulous, of course. Who doesn't love tutus? It's the epitome of femininity and whimsy! It's about embracing our inner ballerina and having fun with fashion. (Of course, you can embrace the full, pink-tutu, full-sparkle me too!)

Behind the Sparkles: A Pink Tutu Queen's Reflections
Let's be honest, dear. There's a lot going on behind the glittering facade, right? I mean, who can really resist a full pink tutu and all that sparkly magic, especially on stage? It's like stepping into a fairytale!
Now, let me take you on a little journey into my heart and soul! I can't let all of you darlings believe I am only about sparkles and fun...Although, I'll confess, those are quite important!
It's a journey of transformation and discovery, of taking the time to learn to be myself, completely and fully, because truly, there’s no greater reward!
As Alex, I spent a lot of years buried in textbooks, trying to decode the secrets of science. It wasn’t all bad, really, and the time in the laboratory helped me refine a keen sense of observation and meticulous precision...although let's face it, I wouldn't have known those qualities were so beneficial unless I had the amazing chance to try on my first tutu! It was magical. It was a new world and that moment has stayed with me and continues to be an important part of who I am!
So, now I'm on this incredible adventure, balancing the world of science with the world of sequins and tulle!
Let’s be honest, I can’t be without the scientific world; the lab has become a comfortable space. Although I can't help but feel the tutus are taking me to amazing new places and that makes me giddy. There's always a touch of science in my outfits though...I’ve been known to have my scientific experiments printed onto my skirts and tutus - those scientists will get what they deserve eventually!
At the heart of it all, it's all about spreading love, kindness, and joy, you know? I’m going to help everyone become a pink-tutu-wearing fabulous queen (or king!) if that's what it takes. But maybe, one sparkly step at a time.
What is my advice? I mean it honestly. Just go for it, darlings. Whether it's a sparkly, glittery, life-changing decision or just simply a new color you want to add to your wardrobe...don’t overthink it, darling! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t live life with my eyes closed. But the most magical, wonderful, heart-stopping, mind-blowing moments are usually those that pop up, unannounced, full of dazzling delight and surprise!

My Pink Tutu Musings:
- Chester: I’ll be honest. It's probably the most magical, history-soaked city I have been to. You can feel its heritage in the air! And if you visit, please be sure to have a proper English afternoon tea with all the trimmings - it was an absolute dream.
- A Word about Tutus: Yes, they might seem daunting to some... But don't be afraid of this fashion piece! (You never know what little details will send a rush of creative excitement your way!) And don’t worry about judgement; after all, it’s your story and your look to choose, right?
- Find your “Pink”: It might not be literal pink; perhaps it’s turquoise, electric blue, gold, or another brilliant shade for you, right?
- Dance to your own beat: My world is packed full of dance; there is ballet in the morning, followed by some street ballet moves for my dance shows, and if I’m in the mood, some of those moves make it onto the dance floor at the end of a night show!
Keep it pink and keep it fun! 💖
