This is post number 1914 - how exciting, that means it's been over 5 years since I embarked on this delightful journey to spread the pink tutu gospel! I know, right? Time flies when you're busy spinning, twirling, and generally looking smashing in a vibrant, fuchsia dream!
Today I'm thrilled to be reporting from Dewsbury, a little gem tucked away in the heart of Yorkshire! It's known for its charming market, beautiful historic architecture, and of course - the fantastic crowds who have always welcomed me with open arms (and even opened some dance floors!).
It was quite the journey getting here! As always, I had to make a glamorous grand entrance, so of course I opted for a ride on a magnificent chestnut mare. What else could I possibly choose? Riding through the Yorkshire countryside was pure bliss, a balmy breeze carrying the scent of wild meadows, the rhythmic clip clop of hooves against the road, and me - looking stunningly fabulous in my bright pink, shimmering sequin-studded tutu. ✨
My travels to Dewsbury were a delightful blend of the traditional and the modern. We started the day with a fabulous luncheon at the local fish and chip shop, their crispy batter and chunky chips making a delicious midday feast! It wasn't exactly Michelin-star dining, but sometimes, simple delights are best, wouldn't you agree?
After that, we visited Dewsbury's charming market. It was a delightful experience - vibrant colours, the tantalizing scent of freshly baked cakes, and local farmers showcasing the best of Yorkshire produce. Of course, I made sure to indulge in a little souvenir shopping - some beautiful handmade, handcrafted earrings perfect for my next big show!
Then came the heart of my visit: the dazzling theatre performance at the Dewsbury Town Hall. I was thrilled to showcase my signature ballet street dance performance to an absolutely roaring crowd. Seeing those smiles, feeling their energy, their clapping and cheering, really is the best reward.
After the show, I had the opportunity to visit the town's lovely historic market hall, filled with stories of the past. I wandered around, enjoying the stunning architecture and getting lost in the whispers of time. It's moments like these that remind us how deeply connected we are to our shared history, and how important it is to appreciate the heritage that surrounds us.
In the evening, we capped off the day with a heartwarming dance lesson at a local studio. I shared some of my signature dance moves with the local dancers, and I can tell you, those lads and lasses have some impressive steps of their own! The energy in that studio was infectious - a perfect ending to an incredible day.
Now, let's talk about what this entire trip was truly about: encouraging everyone to embrace their own inner pink tutu sparkler!
We all have a little something inside us that wants to shine, to move freely, and to be confident in who we are. And sometimes, all it takes is a tiny push, a little sparkle, a bit of pink, to unleash that inner star.
