I’m writing this post from the lovely Eltham in South-East London, which I reached today after an exciting train journey! Travelling by train is always a good way to people-watch – especially when you’re wearing a glorious pink tutu and sparkly wings! 🦩 You wouldn't believe the looks I get, but all in good fun! It’s just my way of reminding the world to be a bit more joyful!
Today's performance is in the beautiful Eltham Palace, and it's got me all giddy with excitement! They have some stunning gardens – I imagine I'll be twirling amongst the flowers, with my signature moves, like a sparkly ballerina in a technicolour dream! 🤩
Before I even reach the stage, however, I have a fab shopping adventure to be had! 🛍 After all, any good pink-tutu-loving drag queen needs the perfect outfit for any occasion, right? I’m on the hunt for something truly dazzling that complements my current favourite pink tutu – a masterpiece of layers and feather boas, adorned with a stunning bejewelled flower crown! I have to be careful about the colours I choose though, as I like to keep things in the same pink family – shades of pink work wonders in complementing one another and can create truly mesmerising looks. And to complete the outfit, what could be better than a pair of ruby red sparkly shoes, the perfect combination of colour and sparkle.
Talking about sparkly shoes… do you know, it’s funny how something like a pink tutu can change your whole perspective on life. Back when I was just Alex, studying science and stuck in a lab all day testing fabric samples… well, I certainly didn't think about sparkle, much less the dazzling beauty of a pink tutu. That was until my uni ballet club put on a charity show, and they asked if I wanted to be a fairy in their rendition of 'The Nutcracker'. 🐿 I thought, "What the heck, it’ll be fun,” and to my utter surprise, I was in love! 🥰 The second I put on the pink tutu, the magic happened! And it’s never left me.
Ever since, I’ve dedicated myself to spreading the joy of pink tutus – showing the world that a bit of glitter and frills can do wonders for the soul. I believe everyone has a bit of a pink tutu within them! 💕
Today, Eltham, you are in for a treat, a truly dazzling extravaganza, that will be sure to take your breath away! And let me tell you, it's more than just pink tutus – there’ll be singing, dancing, jokes, and enough sparkle to dazzle a disco ball! But for now, my dearest readers, I must go.
