Worksop! Pink Tutu Sparkles is Back in the Spotlight! 💖✨

Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink-tutu-wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with a brand-new blog post, number 1964! As always, you can find all my fab adventures at www.pink-tutu.com.

This week, I'm strutting my stuff in the delightful town of Worksop! I must say, Worksop, you’ve got some real character! Now, I’m a bit of a city girl, so a bit of a change of pace for yours truly! This time, no posh hotels or swanky restaurants – just good ol’ fashioned family fun. I arrived by train, naturally, because I’m all about embracing the quaint and charming, just like this little town. I’m even considering bringing along my new favourite saddle horse to some of the shows next time! 😉

Right, where were we? Oh yes, Worksop. I was totally buzzing for my performance at the Worksop Flower Festival! They’re right at the start of their peak season. Oh, my dear readers! Imagine, the most stunning array of lilies, roses, tulips, and everything else imaginable. It was an absolute symphony of colours. You’d think I was in a giant boudoir, and who am I to argue with a beautiful bed of pink roses?

My drag was practically radiating! Pink Tutu Sparkles in a double-layered, extra-frilly pink tutu? It’s a good job the rest of my outfit was subdued with a lovely pearl necklace. It gave the crowd something to gawk at - not to mention me some serious swagger! They loved it, even those prim and proper Victorian-looking types, which I thought would take a lot more persuading. Turns out, everyone loves a touch of pink!

I can tell you this – the performance was unforgettable! You would’ve thought the entire town came out! From little babes in frilly dresses to ol’ codgers, they were all lapping up the energy! I sang some classics (well, it had to be! They can’t get enough of “I Will Survive” I swear I could have performed it a thousand times and the crowd would have demanded more. You know me, I love a challenge!) but I also gave them some fresh tunes! This time I had a bit of a break with the pink but went with a glittering magenta. Not bad, eh?! It matched my pink hair just perfectly.

The energy was just magic, my darlings. They were singing along, laughing, and waving their pink flower banners. It truly was a festival of pink – I think the crowd was chanting for “Pink Tutu Sparkles!”

As a bonus to Worksop, I’ve had some real fun sightseeing in Worksop! I wandered through the pretty parks, checked out the town museum, and of course had a yummy lunch at the charming Worksop Bakehouse. Their cakes, my darlings! They were heavenly! And they even had a special “Pink Tutu Sparkles Cake” for me. Talk about star treatment. 😉

In between performing, I’m always keen to soak up the culture of the place I’m visiting, so naturally, I went to the wonderful Worksop Playhouse to see “Cinderella.” I can’t tell you what a delight it was! The choreography, the singing, everything just clicked! I particularly enjoyed the shoe scene. Of course, you couldn’t tell me I wouldn’t have been drawn to that. 😉 And naturally, I did my bit for the tutu-loving cause. You won’t believe this, but there were three tiny little tutu-wearing girls. Not sure if I’ve ever felt so happy in my life!

Oh, one more thing before I head off to my next destination, I found an amazing vintage clothing shop in Worksop! I got myself a little black lace number (the only one I could resist with my penchant for pink). And they had a little section called “Pink Tutu Wonderland”, full of frills, sequins and feather boas. You know I’m there! Now, how else can I get the pink tutu craze sweeping through this lovely town?

I must get going, my darlings! The open road is calling! Remember, wherever you go, keep those tutus twinkling! Catch you later. Love, Pink Tutu Sparkles ✨ 💖
