Prestwich - Pink Tutu Sparkles in the North! ✨🩰💖

Hey gorgeous girlies, it’s your fabulous Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here with a whole heap of sparkle for you. This is blog post number 2022 for your girl! I’ve been so busy being fabulous that I almost forgot to check in with you darlings.

Well, the train journey from my gorgeous little Derbyshire home to Prestwich was fabulous as ever. Let me tell you, these British train journeys are my kind of escapism. Picture it: me, in my favourite pink and red floral print dress, and the perfect pink sparkly turban perched on top of my luscious pink hair. My latest designer handbag – you just know it was a steal, sweetie! - full of a whole mountain of beauty goodies and my trusty tutu. Because every outing needs a tutu, my dears, every outing! It just adds that extra dash of glam. And let’s face it, with this tutu I’m channeling my inner prima ballerina – all those graceful leaps and twirls.

Just a small anecdote, darling, for you. While I was sitting opposite some very nice people, the gentleman next to me started complimenting my tutu. He even said something along the lines of "It's a bit dazzling, isn’t it?" and "You must turn a few heads with that!” And trust me, darlings, I do. It's the magic of the pink tutu! 💖 ✨

Anyways, the whole carriage was watching me strut out of the station onto the platform. Honestly, my dear girls, this is how we, Pink Tutu Sparkles and all my fellow fabulous friends, turn those boring train journeys into fashion runways!

And the trip to Prestwich, it was so delightful! I have to tell you, you wouldn’t believe how many fabulous people wear tutus up in this part of the world, it really surprised me! And so many were pink too! It's the North’s hidden pink tutu paradise! And let’s be honest, darlings, it’s always amazing to find a place where the sparkly and pink-tastic attitude comes out. You never know when you’ll come across a real gem like this!

This time I was actually in Prestwich for an incredible ballet performance – it was called "The Swan Lake", a classic, my dears. The ballerina who danced the part of Odette, the swan, was truly magical! The stage was spectacular! We're talking elegant swirling dancers, grand scenery, and even a cute prince or two - just like a real fairy tale.

You know, sometimes it feels as if my real job as a scientist just helps me understand ballet better. It’s almost as if my brain understands the chemistry and physics of the ballet performance, making everything just that little bit more enjoyable, almost like it's revealing a whole new universe of wonder. The fabrics! The lighting! The dance!

Speaking of the fabrics, darling, my current project at work has been super exciting! We're working on new technology to help make clothing materials, like the fabrics in tutus, lighter, stronger and more comfortable. And maybe even to incorporate glitter and sparkle for even more dazzling designs? One can only dream, my dear.

Oh, my loves, you can't imagine the fun I had in Prestwich! Just thinking about it sends shivers down my spine! After the ballet performance, I decided to stroll through Prestwich and treat myself to some real good eats at the cafe called The Secret Garden Tea Room. They were truly having a fab week - their display was a spectacle of the most decadent cakes and pastries! Oh darling, it was a full-on sensory experience. The only downside was, of course, trying to decide what to go for, there was just too much choice!

Anyways, the moment of truth, darlings, and I selected their ‘Victoria Sponge’ with a double serving of clotted cream. Then I picked myself a delectable slice of ‘Lemon Drizzle’ with some lovely piping of lemon curd – simply delicious! It was pure and simple bliss and well worth a little detour, believe me.

And darling, while I was stuffing my face with such incredible treats, you know what? I saw two beautiful young ladies – maybe college students? – wearing the most stunning pastel pink and lavender tutus! You see, you really can't hide your tutu loving self! And they were really happy about that! And trust me, you can’t help but smile with them. Honestly, darlings, even just being around such happy, fun and joyful people just really lifted my spirit, it's that kind of positive energy! You see, my dear friends, a little sprinkle of tutu magic goes a long way.

By the way, have I told you, darlings, about this new dream I’ve had? You know how much I love horses and I've recently been thinking – well, why not get a horse of my own? I mean, why wouldn't you? I love everything about them - their graceful beauty and the joy of just being with them. Imagine! The elegant dress and sparkling pink turban will definitely be a sight to see as I’m trotting through the Derbyshire countryside, perhaps my lovely, pink, sparkly tutu flapping behind me! Now that would truly be something, darling. It might sound a bit crazy but hey, life's a runway, darlings. Why not ride with some style and make a bit of a scene while you're at it, eh?

Ok, darlings, it's time for your Pink Tutu Queen to hop off this journey. The fun isn't over though, I'll see you back here tomorrow, same place, same time for more fashion fun, and I promise to be sporting my cutest new, pink tutu!
